Here's hoping that it won't be as bad as you think. On a lighter and stupid note take a few Valium or have a few stiff drinks before you go.
kinda late reply biut i am still here now..am back talking to my little Julie for a long time..i LOVE that so much!!!
i agree with ie baby do what youl an for yourself before you go(so long as YOU are not driving) MY FIL passed and then my father passed within 3 months of each other thisDecember and February 1st. It is huge bag of mixed emotions related to issues with family and everyones relationships with them all..so is ALOT to take on. Just sit back and msybe just LISTEN. lending a quiet ear does wonders for them as well as YOU hearing their side of things perhaps. i wish you well.

Hi bears. I'm still here, just being super busy. It's been raining and snowing and then sunny and warm then snow. What a wild Spring. Lots of small creatures with aches and pains, sniffles, coughs and sneezes for me and my team of healers to deal with. Plus...it's birthing season! Babies popping out all over the place. Tanzie Pearblossom tied the record for the largest recorded skunk litter...14 healthy skunklettes! Just wait until that lot are up and exploring their world, she's going to have her paws FULL!
Weldon is taking it easy this season, he's slowing down a bit. His leg bothers him when it's cold and the weather is variable as it has been the last several weeks. To the disappointment of the Watcher Air Command, he isn't teaching a class of aerodynamics to new pilot trainees. He still consults with the flight director and the chief trainer, but only down at the Burrow Inn over a couple of ales and several bowls of pipe-weed. It's difficult to think that we've gotten older to the point where every day is a struggle with aches and pains.
But there is joy everywhere despite our momentary discomforts. We have friends family and traditions to help us through the difficulties. For instance, the Market Day Dance, held every Wednesday evening after Market Day. There's always lively dancing, great ale, wine and spirits, great music and everybody from our village attends. It's a chance to immerse one's self into all the latest gossip, news and events. Or to find a new friend, or for the youngsters to find a new love. And the food!! Holy Moly the food is rich, hot and heck-of-a lot! Brown bread, baked beans, stew, butter, jams, honey, all washed down with creamy brown ale. ( and they serve cookies too. )
So, while I've been kept busy at work I don't complain too much. It's the simple things in my life that keeps me going, you know, that hug or a kiss or a dance or a wink or a foamy beer shared with a loved one. That's what I love and that's why I share these things with you. Happy Spring!
A quick note about my Author. The plumbing crew finished doing a complete re-piping job. They use plastic pipe and carried it up into the attic space. They had to cut holes in many walls to be able to access all the fittings for toilets, showers, sinks and washing machines. So, now they have hot and cold running water and can do laundry, take showers and make coffee! But they still have no kitchen or flooring in the family room or kitchen. Or cupboards, or countertops or a stove or oven or dishwasher.
Whew! There. All caught up.
: i've been keeping you in my prayers ever since I heard that you had been in the hospital weeks ago. I will continue to do so as you make progress in your treatment.
: POKE!
: I want peanut butter ice cream!
getting old isnt fun, but it is what it is and I dont let it be my excuse for not moving. I guess because I have been practicing that motto, since 1982 when i got injured in the military. Who knew i was practicing for when i got older. So I really dont know pain free days, I just dont let it define my day and activities. i am happily waiting at the end of April I get to go see my grand wieners (2 mini dachshunds that are my animal grand kids). Oh the life they lead, have the run of a huge garden/yard and the run of their house.
PVC pipe maintenance solution, I use the following chemical to keep my pvc pipes functional. I get this chemical like every 3-4 months, follow its directions. Put down shower & bathtub drain, all sinks (except garbage disposal). I like letting it stand for an hour, but to each his own. No one can run or use any water source in that hour. It keeps my system from clogging.
I know pipe replace was out of necessity I just thought I would pass on helpful info.

: I love your fishing outfit! Fishing is my favorite hobby.
Mine gknow you'd like it. The recipe is traditional in its basis, tho mine substituted with crunchy peanut butter. Zo the finished batch tastes roasted. Plus the crumbled toaster pastries added some sweetness to contrast.
Mine want to make a small batch of vanilla to pair with the sorbet. That can wait a few weeks.
Have been fishing in Alaska? I have been salmon fishing, clam digging and you see a few stray crabs you can get up with a shovel. I spent my summers in Alaska as a kid, and even one whole year. Summer was camping, fishing, and digging clams. Not a fan of clams, I will dig them up, and clean them someone else has to eat them I am not a fan. If crowded by other rude fishermen trying to get you out of your area. Cast your line like an amateur it pisses them off, and they grab their gear and move. I had this happen a time or two, and have been cursed at in a few different languages. I don't care, I am not moving my gear from a place I got to first.

Mine haven't traveled much at all. Only been to three states, used to vist relatives in Mexico, and that's it. Mine does not want to go anywhere, not under the current circumstances. Traveling is dull when is costs money, an in mine pov all there is would be what man put there, or in its place...
15 years...some of us don't have cars that old. (Finally used this line in the correct context.)
I got cursed in Japanese for pretending I couldn't cast worth a darn. But he sure did grab his gear and leave. I was casting at the mouth of an inlet, and this guy sets to start fishing in my casting zone. I was not today sir not on my watch. I tangled up our lines, and pissed him off. He untangled his line, and grabbed his gear and moved on. Sydney 1, rude fisherman 0. Same day, a guy try to physically elbow me out of my spot. I taught him a lesson to, I kept tangling the lines and casting like a drunk sailor. He grabbed his gear and moved on. Sydney 2, rude fisherman 0. I was not going to be intimidated, I told my Dad about it. He high-fived me, and said that's my girl. He told me never give up your spot to anyone, unless you have caught your limit. I was 16 , madder then a wet hen and stubborn. But did it with out saying a word, my actions said everything. I had a "are you kidding me face?" I didnt move an inch from my spot, just kept casting really bad tangling lines.
it is not just where or how many placesyou have gone..but did you enjoy it what did you do there?
made your dads teachings proud!!

Mine few travels were always with family. Be it aunts and uncle's homes or the few other places gone, the bits and pieces of activities we did still linger in mine broken memories.
Only in the last few years does mine have a photo record.
