Can I please get an invite for the halo and dress?
-- I'm an idiot. I thought I'd posted requesting a slot for the sinister lunar mage dress and figured I requested too late, but it's still available and I don't see my post here anywhere. I must have accidentally closed the tab before I hit send T_T
Are you still sending invites? I'd love one.
Also, I am an old lady and I watched Star Trek: TOS sitting on my dad's knee as a toddler when it came on first, and religiously watched TAS every saturday ("Yesteryear" is still one of my favourite Trek episodes.) I can't say I've been a Trekkie my whole life because I am slightly older than TOS but it's just about that.
I've liked all the series (yes, even Picard) except for Enterprise, which made me mad and I didn't finish it. I should, though--the Transformers comics from IDW made me mad and I didn't read them for years, but after I got over it, I liked most of the rest of them. (They refrigerated my favourite character in those comics.) In Enterprise I just couldn't get over letting a whole planet die over the Prime Directive. The Prime Directive is meant to protect new species from colonialism and cultural appropriation/cultural destruction. I never saw it as forbidding allowing people to live if the Federation were the only people who could save them. I do Klingon avatars now and then, heheheh--usually Mara, I had a crush on her when I was in middle school though I would never have called it that then as being bi was a big fat hairy deal if you were a teenager in the 70s/early 80s.
If you uh, ever do Vulcan ears in darker skintones, I'll get them all. I'd love to do T'Pring. Even as a kid I didn't like the arranged child marriages in TOS (what's logical about that?) with such severe and barbaric penalties for refusing in adulthood (no, really, what's logical about THAT?) so I never hated her like some people do.
But I love SNW's new improved (and with actual agency!) take on T'Pring so much.

Got all you lovelies! <3
That is so nice if you to say! ;u;
I like everything too, it's all canon in the end. I'm very curious what pissed you off about ENT. Was it the handling of Vulcans? That bothered me at first, after struggling with the sense of "WHY A SONG WITH LYRICS" of course. Plus "Broken Bow" is literally the worst series opener in the entire franchise but you have to struggle thru it...ENT was hard and now? I love it for what it is, plus Phlox is just the greatest character. Why are we not seeing more Denobulans? They are so interesting! I do agree with you about "Dear Doctor" tho. I know this is pre-Federation and pre-Prime Directive but it just seems to me like the wrong conclusion to arrive at, for a physician of Phlox's caliber. I don't hate PIC, in fact the third season is some peak Trek imo, considering I became a fan sometime during the Golden Age of TNG/DS9/VOY and absolutely love the crew of the Enterprise-D. Having 3 different show runners made it hard for me to see the show as cohesive over the course of 3 seasons. I HAVE NOT SEEN YOUR KLINGON HA. I only ever did Trek avatar cosplays at Gaia; I tried to do T'Pring but ended up with K'Tyll:

I ragequit after "Dear Doctor". I should watch more of the show--I never forgave James Roberts for refrigerating Ravage in the MTMTE comics, but I did enjoy finishing reading them all.
Here is a Klingon lady with some tribbles that are about to meet a fiery end:

And this one must have some Rihannsu in her, but I wouldn't want to get on her bad side:

When I was on Gaia I mostly did Gravity Falls avatars. I made most of the thylacines that are there though, I bought a Ruby ticket and then just kept doing recolours.

Hi :) Would it be possible to get an invite for Flawless Contouring Brush, ? Thank you!
Hi! That CW is our yearly thank you release for members of our public ping group. It's not being slotted in this thread but you can certainly join us at Side Street! Link in sig. ^-^
I can totally understand the ragequit. "Dear Doctor" is one I pretend doesn't exist...just like "Cogenitor" (S2x22) which is horrid, but really - could anything ever be worse than "Code of Honor"? ENT takes off running in S3 with the Xindi, who are amazing and do also show up in more than once in PRO. Did you watch the new season? It's incredible!!
Also I am not savvy with book canon, but my lone Trek OC is Romulan. Will The Romulan Way be useful to me, in your opinion?
New season of what? I watch the Disco and SNW episodes as soon as they go up. Same with Lower Decks. I'm looking forward to seeing Georgiou do her worst in Section 31.
I haven't finished the first season of Prodigy yet but I should. I like the show but it's very different from the Star Treks I'm used to.
I like the word Rihannsu but those books are not canon really. If you do read The Romulan Way, though, and you should because it's hella good, you should read the whole series.
That book is the second book in the series:

I am very attached to some of the TOS books because I'm old and they came out at a time when we were not getting new canon on a regular basis. The first Rihannsu book, "My Enemy My Ally" was published in 1984 when all we had other than the series and TAS was a couple of movies. Also, while I really liked "The Final Reflection", I liked the Klingons in "Pawns and Symbols" even more. None of it is overarching universe canon though.
A lot of my feelings about Trek come from the fact that I watched TOS as it ran as a toddler and throughout the 70s on reruns, watched TAS as it ran, and was actively fannish about Star Trek during the loooooooong years between the end of TOS and the first movie, which came out when I was in my late teens. The Rihannsu books were just fascinating and I am a world building hoe. I love world building. Spock's World is a related book by Diane Duane about, obviously, Vulcan.
A few times I've had to restrain myself when people complain about the flaws of TOS, calm down, remember that it IS sexist compared to modern canon. ("Turnabout Intruder" and "Spock's Brain" are the original ST Episodes that Never Existed.) Then I can explain to them how it felt to be a 1960-70s kid seeing Nichelle Nichols and Grace-Lee Whitney onscreen.
One of the things I most hate about the Abrams movies is that they turned Carol Marcus into a dumb piece of cheesecake, she was one of the characters I loved the most. That and watching Uhura have an affair with her superior and spend all her time running around trying to fix his problems instead of being the badass we know and love. Celia-Rose Gooding's Uhura is canon for me but Zoe Saldana's Never Existed.

Can i please get an invite for the drape and halo I'd still available?
Gotchu! @Last_Chance Gotchu for both!
