thank you so much anonymous gifter for the gift box! i could cry over the earth model, it's a truly beautiful background!!! <3 and for your lovely message about space. i wish it wasn't anonymous because i want to talk space with you!! lol i also love listening to startalk. neil degrasse tyson is so incredible and i love listening to him talk. i don't remember when i learned that the center of most galaxies is a supermassive black hole, but it has tripped me out for so long. i feel like we truly know so little about black holes in general that it makes it almost frightening to think about the fact that we have one so close to us. what's going on there? sometimes it makes me sad that we know so little about the universe compared to what we could know, and that people so far in the future (if we don't ruin earth) will probably have so many more answers and also have a lot more opportunity to travel around in space. on the flip side, i'm also very grateful to live in a time where so much crucial information about the universe has been learned, when compared to even a few hundred years ago it seems they didn't really know all that much. for them it was probably a HUGE thing to learn that the universe doesn't revolve around the earth! they probably felt like they were living at such a massive time of scientific advancement, which is sort of how i feel about right now, and i'm sure they'll feel the same way far into the future when they uncover secrets we could never dream of.
