Thank you for the update! It’s appreciated; I understand how frustrating it can be for everyone affected. Sometimes trying to resolve something like this with another company has its own set of issues. I managed to use Apple Pay and it worked well for me being outside the US and I’ve used PayPal for years.

Still, crossing my fingers the everyone will find other options that work for them in the meantime. Those without credit cards could try a loadable one through their bank, or would something like a Visa gift card work? A lot of bank debit cards can be used like credit cards now, too.

quick question, does the Stripe option now accept cards issued outside of the US (previously I'm sure it said you couldn't used cards not from the US, but I can't find that note anywhere now)?

Just thinking that if it does work, it might be worth seeing if I can get a visa gift card (assuming you can still get them over here) or something so I can at least still buy some CSC while the paypal option is being worked on!

FWIW I've used Stripe with my non-US debit card and it works absolutely fine (though will note that the currency conversion is charged separately which I find a bit annoying, but not unworkable). You need to sign up for Stripe and it's presumably restricted to its current countries of operation, so it won't work for everyone but I haven't had an issue using it while the PayPal option has been broken.

I do not know the answer to that and I can't test it since I am in the US. But looking at Bang's post above, it may support some foreign cards.

This sucks. I only have some csc because I'm selling some of my older CWs I no longer need. But I can't support subeta anymore because paypal option is not available at the moment. I don't use credit cards to pay online. Never have and never will.

I hope Paypal actually hurry up and give some assistance to Keith to get this sorted out - I can't find visa gift cards available here any more, so I'm totally stuck until it's able to get fixed :( (and it stinks with the potential $ loss Subeta is currently experiencing for the CSC we aren't able to buy!)

I guess us sending directly to Subeta couldn't work either, because "sending out" the goods would have to be done by hand?

I'm kind of at a loss about how this issue has dragged on for almost two months. Since my subscription (paid with paypal) hasn't had any problems with going through during this time, I really don't understand what the issue is - paypal IS WORKING, but only for automated transactions. The lack of urgency in resolving this outage while the ongoing financial hit Subeta has to be taking with this issue doesn't make sense?

sorry to ping you, but Im curious as to where you see a 'lack of urgency' when its literally been said Keith is working with them to resolve it.

on a side note, might it be time to look into other options, like Venmo, cashapp, apple pay, google pay etc.

Being outside the US I exclusively used PayPal until this happened. I finally figured out I could use Apple Pay and that’s what I’ve been using since. I’m one of the lucky ones that I was able to sort out something that worked for me!

probably a dumb question, but where are the options to pay with Apple Pay etc? I've only got the option for stripe other than paypal but I'm not sure if I'm just looking in the wrong place, or if that really is the only option for my country!

Fair enough for asking - In my experience with similar situations, an outage of a major payment method is a huge deal - both for the business's income loss for each day that this continues and also for the long term retention of players who can no longer enjoy the site's cash shop features or support it in general. As evidenced by multiple people in this thread, those other payment methods simply aren't enabled for everyone.

We know Subeta is on a skeleton crew and has alluded to rising costs/lack of income as to the current situation behind the scenes. To me, that's why I'm surprised this is still ongoing several weeks later and not resolved with their paypal representatives as a priority within days. Imagine if this was your personal bank cutting you off and then making you wait weeks on end to figure it out. To lose even part of their income stream, especially going on two months and also will likely lose the major boost that black Friday provides, it's a huge deal.

I wonder, why it cannot be easily resolved by simply opening a new paypal account?!

And even if other ways than paypal worked, I personally do not want even more platforms to have access to my bank account!

they dont exist yet to my knowledge, Id ask where they found apple pay.

I was saying more in general maybe the site should look into those options, I mean even one of my local grocery stores accepts venmo I believe though Im not sure if anything except apple or google might be available outside the US
