Just an update: , , , and were all displaced when their apartment building caught fire. Nobody was injured, but the next door neighbors lost everything. The girls unit was smoke and water-damaged to the point that they were told to move, the interior was non-habitable and was to be demolished. This was on the 17th.

They had insurance, but it doesn't pay for moving expenses or more than one week temporary living. It wouldn't allow any claims of loss of property because there was no visible smoke or soot on their things, only a smell, which they don't cover. They wouldn't allow for the food that spoiled in the refrigerator after power was cut during the fire and not restored after 24 hours. (outside temps in Fresno have been over 100, food spoiled in minutes in those conditions).

The apartment company isn't liable for property loss because it's stipulated in the rental agreement that the renters would provide renters insurance to cover personal property. The neighbors were at fault and started the blaze, but they didn't have insurance, so there was no recourse to make any claims. It's just really bad luck and everybody fell through the cracks on this one. Funds are real tight because everybody is on summer holiday.

Needless to say, they got a new place on Sunday and packed out everything and turned in their keys on the old place today. The move took four days. Everybody's exhausted, but safe and in their own beds.

Hi - what an ordeal and how frightening too. So sorry to hear that happened to them but glad they are unharmed and now in a new place. These temps are horrible...hotter where you are than here but it is hotter than normal where I am and we do not have AC. We've never needed it but now I'm wishing we had it.

- thank you...it's just been in the last few years we've had a hard time with heat. We almost always have a cool evening breeze and if we open up the house it cooled down comfortably...not so much these days and the hot days go on and on now when they used to just be a few days here and there toward end of summer. If it gets bad enough I plug in my sweet little camper and that AC is so good it's like a refrigerator in there :)

I'm glad to hear everyone is ok that is a lot of subeta players displaced at once I don't know anyone that lives near me or with me who plays this game my family got me started playing and now none of them play at all

: thank you. Yes...Glitter, Dannygyrrl are sisters, Ellepepper is their best friend and the other two are the teenagers in the house. They got me started years ago. They've all been playing a lot longer than me.
