I got around this by uploading a picture to discord, and taking the image link from there.

I know this post is a few months old but I'm having this problem too, was trying to upload a pic in a forum post and it would not take my imgur ones, I had to use a different site before it worked.

Edit: just saw they no longer allow hotlinking. lame! What is the point of them then!?

Did what others have done and switched to another free image hosting site. Try out "flickr" website...images load without any problem. :)

wait, but then what is the difference between what forum images are doing vs someone manually embedding the image with html/bbcode tags? because the latter very much still works as far as i can tell...

[edit] actually, it looks like embedding with bbcode still works but html does NOT. how stupid... what does imgur think being an image hosting site means...

Insert the "I'm in Danger!" meme here because mine has been okay so far?

1. it looks like you have an image embedded in your signature, not a forum image. embedding images with img tags still works fine; it's when a site tries to use html to pull the image that imgur blocks it.
2. existing forum images seem to be remaining intact (like mine). the problem is with trying to change/add new ones.
