That being said, I would support removing the accept/deny page, since it IS possible to opt out by just not wearing a mask, and potentially adding a small chance for a request to be denied for the sake of the achievement. As long as you get a sidebar event (or maybe a link in the "you requested a dance" hover for requests that you send) to get to the dancefloor
Lol, I always end up starting the next year's masq with a bunch of unaccepted dances from the previous year. I kinda like that though, I think it's funny.
- That's fair, I forgot about the survival kisses, there should be a way to opt out of those, especially since they have a tendency to break avatars OTL I'm usually just doing biting during survival, which yes, you do give consent for. I was more thinking for other holidays too like luminaire you can change the settings on your tree if you don't want to participate. Guess that's true with the wearing of masks though.
Still, I like the feature, I think it does add a bit of extra depth to the event. A few extra page loads don't bother me. (though, I must say, I would also probably not miss it if it was removed, so I guess I'm neutral)
Just in case, you can go to the accept page (or bookmark it) & that'll automatically accept your queued dances for you. Then, you don't have to click accept, because that's already the accept link.

Personally, I like having the option to deny people that I don't want to dance with & would rather not see it changed.
&, with the addition of the Mystery Dance option, it's far easier to get bags of trinkets (& other nice things) that way, instead of bothering to check for Boudewijn every time, unless you would like to. (thankfully, there's only one achievement for winning / losing against him at this time too. haha.)
Would be nice if the dance&id page and the "here's what you got" message got combined, I suppose. Love seeing people's creativity in events like this & that would be one less page load, but it would be more images loaded &, I imagine, not everyone cares about that. :d
i support the removal of accept/deny. alternatively it would be nice if the alert had the links for accept/deny instead of sending you to a separate page for it maybe? idk, would just be nice to have one less step to it at least
I support this, as many of my dance requests do not receive a response at all. Can they at least be automatically accepted after a certain point? Give me my trinkets. lol

This thread reminded me that it even exists. I usually remove all of the event-related notifications without looking at them so I... Completely forgot I was meant to accept dances :')
So yeah, I'd be happy if it was removed but I don't have very strong feelings either way
editing to add: This doesn't seem to be an issue this year so far, but when the site gets laggy dyring events, every click and every page reload becomes pain in the ass. So at least an 'Accept all' button would be nice.
I wouldn't mind seeing this go, it is pretty tedious honestly.
I think adding the accept/deny option to the events would be a great compromise too since I can understand why people might not want to remove the "deny" option :)
Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but I would hate to see the accept- deny- go to ballroom, process removed completely. I enjoy stalking Boudewijn, and the dance floor is always amusing with the incredible variety of HAs queued up to dance. When I am pressed for time. I just refresh on the accept page until the beast tells me I haven't been invited. Easy peasy. Since there is already an easy way to bypass it, I am against removing the accept - deny option.
Thats sounds like a really awful idea, basically asking the schoolers to make a ranking of the "most unwanted dancer in the school",(they know who gets named the most) not problematic at all? Also getting asked why you wrote this and that name on your list.
Also, agree with you, an "autoaccept" options sounds nice, I apreciate seing the dance floor but others users just wnat the trinkets an that's all.
