As the evening wound to a close Glitzen approached the podium once more."Attention please. Our Auctions have been tallied, I will now reveal the winning bids.” With a gesture of his hand the icy sheet of wall behind the podium shimmered and cracked, bits of ice and powder snow fell away revealing eight names scrawled in silver script.

With the auction resolved patrons began to trickle out of the venue, some more satisfied than others. The walls had begun to weep as the melting ice intended to dissolve away any evidence of the auction ever taking place. As you made your way toward the door you glanced back over your shoulder, the man from the podium gave you a wink and seemingly faded from existence in a sudden flurry of sparkling snow.

Happy Winter Solstice everyone! -cough-yesterday-cough- Thank you all for participating in this mini event! Hope you all enjoyed. All the entries were phenomenal, it was very hard to choose just one for the grand prize. I loved all your backstories and I hope to see these characters again in the future. There were exactly enough entries that everyone who participated will get a slot on the eyepatch, no need to randomize. Invitations will be going out here in a few, if you can’t pick them up within a week please let me know and I can hold it for you.
