if i could have a pet, i would like to have a hamster :)

I've spent my entire life with cats, I love them so much. Here's my current little hellion. She is full of tortie-tude and is never shy to show her temper but I love her anyways.

I completely missed last week's task 🤦 I had the ping saved and everything, but still missed it. I accidentally went on a week and a half hiatus...

When I was little, my parents only let my sister and I have goldfish as pets. Once we got a little older (middle school, I believe), we convinced my dad that we could handle a cat when he was out of town on a business trip. I have had a cat ever since, even after discovering that I am allergic to them as is my husband.

My current cat has quite the medical issues as well. She has an immune system disorder, which causes her to have a bunch of allergies. She's allergic to two of the most common antibiotics given to cats as well as chicken and fish. Finding appropriate food and medications for her has been a challenge, but I adore her. I can't imagine my life without that purring fur ball of love. <3

Ah March... How did we get here so quickly? For our first venture into this month, I would love to know if are you a collector. Be it if it was when you were a kid to an adult and anywhere in the middle. (Remember Beanie Babies, Pogs, Squishmellows?) Didn't collect anything ever? Embarrassed to share what it is you collected? That's okay too what is it here in Subeta that you tend to horde or covet?

My Example:

One Of Each Real Life: Salt and Pepper Shakers When I was young (No dinosaurs did not roam the earth, it was Pharaohs ok?) my grandmother gave me a set of the silliest cow salt and pepper shakers I had ever seen. She used to keep them in her little tchotchkes case and told me they reminded her of me because they were black, white, and weird. That kinda makes sense in a way lol. But after that, I started seeing them everywhere like garage sales, second hand stores, etc, and just started buying salt and pepper shakers. What shocked the crap out of me was there are some that are worth quite a bit of money because of the rare materials or the passing of time. I have lost most of them to time and multiple moves but I do miss them.

Subeta: Pumpkins My favorite thing on this planet is pumpkins. Doesn't matter what it is I want it. Cute? Yup. Scary? Yup. Just a normal looking pumpkin? Yup. It's my favorite fruit (Yup not many things are vegetables technically lol) and I love everything about a pumpkin. Including what they represent, which is Fall and Halloween. GASP! SHOCKER! Yea it's fine I know my role lol. I have every pumpkin in the game and a gallery called Pumpkin Patch to showcase my pumpkins and other spooky things.

Ever since I was little I've collected antique postcards (mostly early 1900's). My favorites are cards that feature animals, especially cats. It's a hobby/collection my mom got me started on. As far as collectibles go it's fairly affordable, while some cards can be pretty pricey, I rarely spend more than one dollar and frequently less and they don't take much space either.

Ups 🙈 I don‘t collect anything, not in the real world and not in Subeta. I feel more free when I don’t have too many things to look after, not so many items I’m responsible for. 😀 I like to look at the collections here and marvel at the dedication of people who are eager collectors and how their items are organized in neat rows or departments! They have my respect!

In real life I'm not actively collecting something, I guess whenever I visit Japan I like to collect the current seasonal Mickey and Minnie tsums if I can so I have some super cute Christmas and Halloween ones ^^

About the things I collect, I really like rusty objects like nails, nuts, screws, whatever but rusty. I love the textures of rusty metals.

And here in Subeta I collect cat theme items and mineral/rocks theme items :) . Also I can say my pet's TC are like galleries where I put so many other things I love.

I really enjoy collecting them, it's a good excuse to go to antique stores and flea markets too. I kind of think of it like fishing/treasure hunt, I don't know what or if I'll 'catch anything' but it's fun to go on the hunt (and not have to worry about hurting any fish lol). Although they're getting harder to find, especially at the bargain prices I shop at and flea markets/antique store are rare now too with so much of the market moving to online.

Ah thank you. You could try to hug and kiss her but odds are you're gonna get bit or scratched, if you can catch her. She has major tortie-tude and top of her list is do not touch me lol

I love going into antique shops too. I don’t do it often though because I always fall in love with to many things that I can’t afford. :/ I wouldn’t think that it is as much fun to shop for them online. You can always look at yard and, estate sales too.

Week 2 Contest: Disney Magic: Tuesday 3/7 to Monday 3/13

For this week I would like to dive into the world of Disney. Hey, it's Disney's world we just live in it. Please share with me your favorite Disney show or movie. It can be from the Golden era (Snow White) to recent purchases (The Marvel & Star Wars Universe). Doesn't have to be both but feel free to put as many as you like on there!

My Example:

One Of Each TV: Gravity Falls I have already said that my favorite Disney TV show is The Owl House. So to be different I will go with its twin show that came to first Gravity Falls. It's about a pair of twins sent to live with their great uncle (Or as they say Grunkle) Stan for the summer in Gravity Falls the weirdest place on the planet. Hijinks for sure ensue and the show is funny and weird. Movie: Turning Red A movie to me that doesn't get enough love but I happen to like a lot is Turning Red. It is a literal coming of age story about the main character Mei and her struggles to find her own voice and self in the world. Coming out from the shadows of her family and the traditions set by them and using her own sense of family to create the person she wants to be a mix of both.
