i didn't realize this feature even existed until i saw this thread! never paid much attention to it or the widgets, but i forget about a lot of things unless i have them sitting in front of me so i'm adding my voice to the "don't get rid of bookmarks" pile. now that i know they exist, i'd be a lot more likely to actually use the less obvious bits of the site (and use the site as a whole more regularly) because i can keep those reminders on the page at all times.
