Alright sounds good. If you still find yourself wanting those button details later, I’m happy to see how they look with the final art sizing and giving you those options still; it’s a small enough detail that I can just fill them in on a new layer :)

I hope you don’t mind the continued interrogation, but as we go into more of the detail work on the piece, more specifics are always better. Since there’s little details like sootiness, I want to make sure I know what textures I’m working with so we can make it look as good as possible. I know that Noelle is a soft doll, but is she fluffy/furry like a stuffed animal, more of a flat woven fabric like cotton/linen textile, or maybe even like a knit fabric like a sweater? Is she the same texture all over, or are different parts of her (I.e. fur vs ear vs belly vs back spots vs tail) different textures?

Don't worry about the questions either! I'm happy to answer anything to help the process! I'd say she's more like a doll made out of old fabric/clothing akin to flannel. Her tail is made out of one of the fluffy balls from an old knitted hat. Her inner ears and stomach is made out of softer velvet.

I've got a bit more progress done and i just wanted to run a texture check past you haha

the velvet has been giving me some trouble bc the shapes on the rabbit are just very irregular but i'm trying my best i did the dappling to sort of evoke the pilling that happens on worn down flannel; also planning to block in some darker charcoals/grays to really get that sooty feel to it. :)

i think we're just about in the finishing stretch, but wanted to do another check with you. i finished the coat dappling, did more of the highlighting/shading, added in more of that sootiness described in her story :) i can also try to do some lighting/contrast changes if you think its necessary!

if you think we're all good, i can export it and resize it to overlay size, shown in the smaller version ^^

hey yall, just thought you guys deserved an update--i know it's been a while haha. life has been having a delightful time doing a quick trample on me (and my mental health oops) and i might take much longer than i expected to knock these out; the art juices are a little stalled out with how chaotic the irl juggle has been. i'm hoping to get some progress done during this long weekend on all three, but it might be a while before they all get finished if that's ok with y'all. i really appreciate everyone's patience during this time <3
