Scarlet Hollow (and Beacon Pines too) is more like a story, there's going to be seven chapters to it, but three have been released so far (and they expect the fourth to be released soon). You make decisions to forward the story, but it's not like intense gameplay like Fortnite. My job has me too mentally exhausted to play games that need me to pay close attention to my surroundings haha, but a more choose-your-own-adventure sort of game is more my speed these days. Scarlet Hollow in particular has cryptids and ghosts and is set in an old Appalachian mining town, and the player character is there for their cousin's mother's funeral, and you get to dig into the mysterious history of the town and the family.

From what I've seen, they decided to release it episodically because of how much work goes into each chapter. For example, the backgrounds in the game are hand drawn, giving it a very unique aesthetic that really goes a long way to setting that cozy-creepy mood. Though what initially drew me to it was that the relationships are actually dynamic and your personality traits actually affect how the story plays out, so different traits will give you access to different bits of information (the creators actually have a blog discussing how they crafted both the relationship gauges and the way traits work, but I wouldn't recommend reading that until after playing, if you choose to play it). Also, one of the traits you can pick is 'talks to animals' and yes, you can have whole conversations with several animals if you pick that trait.

I only just found the game in the past few months so I don't actually know for certain if you have to buy future chapters, but it doesn't seem like that's the case, since there's just one option to buy the game on Steam and you get the whole game so far. I think you just get the new chapters when they update if you buy it.

Honestly, the older I get the more I’m grateful for my parents. As a kid I never really knew or understood how much they did for me, but as an adult I can see how much effort they put into raising us, maintaining our home and trying to give us the best of everything, on top of working long hours. It’s thanks to them that I’m where I am today :)

yes jobs are stressfull, we had a client run off on a staff member yesterday he is still on the loose police are looking for him ugh! he fake needing to go to the ER and staff drove him and as soon as they got to the hospital he just took off running... now we gonna have to do a lot of training work and what to do next time junk, i cant wait! but really there was nothing the staff could the bosses said to drive him instead of calling 911 😠. I love working in Mental Health but sometimes...not so much lol!

hello there :) i have two kitties pepper is my inside cat and gabby is my outside cat, pepper was two month old when she was found under my nephews and nieces house and they let me take her home, Gabby was a catch and release cat and her ear was clipped meaning she was spayed, when they released her she found my property to be the best and adopted me as her mommy <3 i need to update my profile pictures!

Fantastic. though i don't expect anything less from Darnielle, i LOVE his books (and music haha). and you've probably heard of their song "no children" i reckon? I'm very late to the party but I just finished the show LOST, which originally aired from 2004 to 2010. A friend of mine recommenend it to me because it involves mystery and time travel and that's something I'm really into. Basically it's about a group of people who survive a plane crash and end up on an island. So far, so good. The only thing is, the island isn't an ordinary island. It's interesting to watch how the different characters develop during the series and deal with the situation.

I'm grateful for my family, but most of all my husband, it's wonderful to have someone around me that gets my sense of humor, who speaks his mind often for me since I'm so shy, and who can be there to help and support me in so many ways.
