I read beets and thought I want to buy some and get turnips, and pickle them together its so good. WOW Congrats on all those achievements.

Love making beet soup. Borscht. Yum...pickled beets taste great too.

I have a middle eastern one that is easy and takes 5 days to get done. The beet with the turnips, turn the turnips colors. So far its the only way I like beets.

Our crops seem to be doing quite well, they're well adapted to this heat and if our water is managed well, se can make it thorough another drought. The snow pack was terrible though. Worst snow pack in decades.

I always make my mother in laws Egyptian lentil soup. But I confess I love it so much, I eat it year around.

Sleep well. I haven't had lentil soup in a long time.Sounds like a plan. LOL i will have to make some now.

Egyptian use orange lentils, try any middle eastern store to find them.

I have both green and orange(red) lentils. :) I'm off to bed too. Have a good night dear.
