can we call it our Plantation ( where we work/job), train , farm etc?
I have 89 pets at the moment. All 89 have jobs. I have switched some of them to more interesting jobs as they have leveled up and read more books. At least one of them has taken each of the new jobs that have recently been released. I had to read to them and/or train them to be able to accept the promotions. (Newest jobs: Criminal, Space, Postal Service, Photography and Neela Stables) I collect their earnings every day. I even purchased a new Neela from the Cash Shop to work at the stables. I would hate to be restricted to only being able to do things with a small number of them.

From my perspective, this is a great idea! It's similar to something on another site I play, called Flight Rising, where you have some dragons "hibernating." Naturally Subeta is a different game, so it would look different here, but I strongly support. It'd be lovely to have many pets but have a speedy site experience.
I like the idea and I never even made it to 25 slots.
That said pet 'farm' as a name could definitely use some work. 'Den' someone suggested is already much nicer. 'Storage' if you want it completely self-explanatory. Resort/retreat if you want to borrow from already existing features. 'Boarding house'? This actually feels a bit odd to me, but 'you currently have X pets boarded' 'please choose which pets to board' appeals to me
It really is a pity it's probably way too late to rename 'active' pet to idk 'primary pet' everywhere on site AND in users' collective consciousness, it's already kind of causing issues in this thread hah but then you could have 'this is your primary pet, it will be used when interacting with site 'events'' 'these are your active pets, they will appear in dropdowns around the site, you can have a maximum of Y active pets' 'these are the pets you've boarded, they won't appear in dropdowns around the site'
I'm glad this is being brought up because I wanted to ask directly if this is something he knows or can find out, what is the maximum amount of TC items I should have before things start breaking? One of my pets has 1400 items in his TC and growing. I recently discovered that trying to view his profile on mobile makes my browser crash. I'm willing to try to whittle it down but I need a ballpark number in mind so I can plan.
Since you're tracking multiple problems, here's one more. There are still unreleased items showing up on collection lists. I know this doesn't affect 99.9% of the users, but after 13+ years of working on it, I finished my plushie collection a couple months ago. Except I didn't because there are unreleased plushies from mysterious melody that are showing up in the collection. Amber promised them 3 weeks ago but still nothing. And it wasn't a "coming soon" thing, she said "this week(end)" 3 weeks ago. This would have also given me my collection master ach, so it is doubly frustrating for me!
I also know of one person waiting on the final beanbag to show up.
I like this idea. I also like some of the suggestions others have presented.
I love this idea - besides improving load time for the site, I would really like the ability to view pets whose profiles I'm working on separate from those who are on the back burner. It'd make it easier to focus, for sure!
I also really like the idea of being able to put certain furniture/appliances/etc. in the "farm" to keep my pets comfortable and/or give them something to do. It'd be neat if they could potentially craft items as well, and might be a non-grindy and more interactive way to release new items to the site.
For example, if they have enough appliances/tools to create coffee brews, there might be a chance that your pet would create a specialty coffee. If said pet works as a barista through the jobs center, they might have access to more "recipes."
I understand that'd be a LOT of work to figure out and program, but I'd personally love to see this be mode for (sort of) two-way interaction with our pets--as users we provide them with tools, furniture, etc. and they create items that we could add to our collections or use as wearables, weapons, etc. This might be one way to incentive investing in multiple pets, as well as give users some long-term goals.
Nice try getting that into this thread ;) I've got that on my list, and we're going to get those items out. You'll be able to complete the collection, I promise!

I only have 47 pets but I would love the farm feature. It would help me on focusing on specific pets.
I'm not sure if "farm" is the best name though. Maybe sanctuary or reserve?
I think this is great!!!

Oh, so, like a Pokemon box? I find it a good idea!
In fact I think the limit should be less than 100 (that's a long dropdown!). 20 or 30 sounds like a good average, with 50 being the most.
Or, alternatively, one could config their personal limit (up to 100, maybe), to then let any other surplus pets in the box farm.
But here's an extra suggestion: all pets in the farm would be happy and well-fed by standard, kinda like a permanent resort. This way, when people took them back, they wouldn't need to use the resort/inn, with said places being better intended for those who are too lazy to both change their active list AND feed them. (lol) Or, maybe, the resort/inn could be more like the Pokemon kindergarten, being a place for pets to rest and, perhaps, find some items (not hatchable pet eggs, unless people really want this as a feature; though, I think minions that are like mini versions of pets as rare events might be a better feature).
[EDIT] I have realized farm replenishing (food/happiness) could be an extra resort/inn feature that could be 100sP per pet. If someone has over 1k pets that could cost over 100k sP, though.

I mean...who has 100 pets?? I can barely handle the 20 or so I have. And I would LOVE to be able to put some away on the farm while I'm not actively working with them.
Will they still be able to collect their daily employment earnings?
I think it's a good idea, even thought I have less than 100 petsI would still like to interact with my pets a bit, like editing their treasure, but I'm ok with putting them in a den or kennel for a while.
Why ya picking on me and my 112 pets :( (jk jk I know it is a lot BUT I LOVE THEM)

I totally support this idea. I only have 25 pets, but love to put 13 of the them in the farm most of time.

What was the question?
This seems like a great and functional solution!
they/them/theirs, please.
It's a great idea :)

I currently have 116 pets and I think this is a great idea.
I rarely need more than 10-20 pets available to take action on (reading/feeding/training). I'd love to have an option to automatically collect income for pets in the kennel/farm to cut loading time at the Job Agency. (Plus eliminate the need to click 100+ links. :D)
