I apologize! I just re-read your post and yes, if you put on a skin before the infection has taken, it tricks the system into thinking you got one already. Wait until the infection has started before putting on a skin.

Which virus did you choose? If you chose the any - free option, you likely need to be bitten. Older viruses can also take some time, though bites can accelerate it. Post in the Survival Celebration forum and people should be able to see the option to bite you.

If you don't get bitten for the strain you signed up for, it can take up to three days for it to 'catch'. Go to ">this topic and make sure you post in the Survival Celebration forum to get bitten, that topic in particular should have instructions to ping biters to you!

If you have the skin, but it's saying you would need to 'cure', you could try doing that and filing for reimbursement for the sP.

It can take a while. If you get bites for your chosen virus, that will speed it up.
