The 2014 vial strains that Atomic mentioned are nice and simple, iirc You can just pop the corresponding vial, and you'll be immediately infected! It'll then progress as normal (I don't have any of them, but that's how I've seen them used in the past, so if any passersby are reading this and I'm totally wrong please do correct me LOL) So, if any of those are up your alley, they're a good pick since they have so few stages to get through!

I know some people also save them for their last skin of the event. As long as you're infected during survival, your infection doesn't need to have fully progressed before it ends, so people will use vials to ensure that they can get an infection last minute. You can pay to be immediately infected, but you don't get to pick what you want if you do that, so people will opt for getting a skin they don't have with a vial over potentially wasting the money on a skin they have already or don't like.

You're right - I think how it works is that you can sign up for the vial strains same as you normally would and get bites, or you can use the vials to get immediately infected. I've done some digging and what I've found supports that, but again, it's possible I could be misrembering too. I'll have to get myself a vial skin soon so that I can know 100% how it works 😆

I can't wait for Survival to start, I took a break from Subeta for a few years and am getting back into it. Survival was always my favourite holiday on here so I'm so excited!

You can use a vial to get to Stage 1 of the corresponding strain. However, the option exists to pick the strain at the VIP and you can still bite anyone who picks the free option.

Most people don't bother with getting bitten for them but I've seen the odd time where a vial was worth more than the VIP option. Rare but it happens.

I'm am getting super excited for Survival to start and begin my first infection of the year!

I don't think it's starting today, otherwise the items would have started being added already, I think the subscription item is coming out first. Or the Mysterious Melody items that are going to go out through the Ice Fields. I still hope it starts before the 20th.

I love survival so much! I'm antsy for it to start. My school district had a snow day today and another tomorrow. The perfect kind of day for it to begin.....

How fun!! Survival is definitely a great holiday to come back to :) I have inactive spells on Subeta every now and then, but I always try to come back for Survival if I'm able to! (also, thank you so much for the gift!! that's too sweet of you! <3)

i'm waiting for it! to be honest i don't care at all about zombies and such stuff, but this year i want to take part in every event and will interact to have fun and get the rewards - waiting for the candy hearts on this one. i've been a member of Sub for years, but this is the first i'm really focused and playing "full time".

Still no subscription item, I really thought that would be yesterday. I don't know if Sunday counts as "this week" or not but there's only 2 or 3 days left now for both of those things to happen and I still don't know which will come first.

I am still leaning towards it probably starting sunday but it would not suprise me i if it doesnt start until next week.

I am really upset with the MM items at this point though. I am one of those people that needed one of those items(the sticker) to complete my collection and I really doubt that will come out now with survival right around the corner.
