The party was this afternoon and we're both exhausted right now. I really respect teachers who teach kids around this age, because handling six of them with two adults was already a challenge. Not all the kids knew each other but everyone got along well. We did all the activities I prepared and there was only one meltdown. My son got upset because he couldn't hit a target with the bow and arrow. Next year we'll probably go somewhere. There's no Chuck e cheese in the Netherlands but there are some indoor playgrounds ideal for birthday parties.

Everything went well and I got a few stitches. The doctor joked that he gave me two stitches instead of one because I hadn't seen The Breakfast Club...at least I hoped he was joking O.O'

Brian is also getting on my butt about not stressing my body out too much. Which is sweet but also annoying XD

- the schnitzel came with mushroom and onion gravy. it was served on a bed of sourkraut with german potato salad and green beans. it was very tender and the besst i've had in a long time. :D i'm relieved the party went well, too. :D when i can't sleep like that i just get up and do something. i figure the longer i actively try the harder it'll be to actually fall back asleep. :D

- you deserve a medal for doing the party with only 2 adults. with 6 kids you probably should have had about 12 adults... rofl 😂 i'm glad the party went well and that everyone had fun. 1 melt down has got to be a record. good job! :D an indoor playground is a good choice as it works off all the energy the kids will get from the sugary food. :D

- i'm glad everything's went well. :D wait, what? you've never seen breakfast club? seriously? what's wrong with you? 😂 he should have given you 3 stitches for that! lmao 😆 and boy do i know how you feel regarding brian being too overprotective. my hubby does the same to me. in fact, he's doing it now as i over did it during my youngest's birthday. so, i'll have to go lie down and put my feet up here in a few. dang overprotective hubbies! (you really should watch breakfast club while you're laid up. ;)

Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying Masq. It's actually been working for me pretty well.

Hi! How are you? We have been prepping to paint my house. Ugh. Already been working on the repairs and stuff, and so grateful for my son who has been helping. And honestly doing most of the work with just help from me. An ongoing never ending process it feels like. But finally today we got the windows taped off and painted. Tomorrow we are taping off what we did today and painting the main wall siding. After that we have to clean off the roof and the part under it so we can paint that. It's going to be a medium bright blue with white trim. I think it will look really nice when we're done. :)

Yeah I'll watch it someday. Maybe...but Stranger Things is released and me and Brian are also watching Night Sky on Amazon Prime. Then I think Disney+ released their show Kenobi recently and Ewan McGregor is <3

Plus I can probably find enough horror movies to keep me distracted XD

renovating a house seems like an endles job indeed. Our house needs to have lots of things done, so I know how you feel. Once you fixed something, something else needs replacing.

Can you imagine being a teacher and having to rear 25 children all by yourself? I really respect my son's teachers after this weekend. But it was also fun and interesting to get to know some of my son's friends a little better.

Hi! I'm doing okay! Took a few days off from people over the weekend. Burn out and stuff on the news just got to me, plus I passed out and slept most of today for no apparent reason. I swear I wasn't even tired just couldn't stay awake. How are you?

Mooz made me jump up out of bed last night around 4am. I had some things try dry and he found it necessary to grap it.. It all fell down with a big bang, iwas wide awake and he went hiding. Nutter of a cat.

Derpy Cat! Our dog has been sneaking in our room at night and this week she woke me up in the middle of the night with her loud snoring...

- well, yu could look at breakfast club as a horror movie as it's about high school and the stereotypes fostered there... sure did scare me the first time i saw it although judd nelson was ... uh.... very nice to look at then. ;)

- i feel your pain. renovation and house upkeep is not fun and is one huge reason we rent. it's someone else's responsibility. plus, no paint fumes. ugh, those would give me an instant headache. :)

- that's happened to me before. you're just tired and needed time away from the insanity. i hope you're doing better now. :D

- yeah, most are wrapped up in masq now. i've been living in the bathroom for the past 3 days so i haven't had a chance to dance much. i'm feeling better now, though, so i'll be dancing away! 💃

- after my 5 i'm sure i'd be able to survive a classroom full... as long as i had plenty of duct tape... lol 😂 seriously, though, i don't think i could do it. i'm ok with my kids but other people's kids tend to drive me right up the wall. :)

- your boys are so funny! i wonder what he thought it was? probably some grand mountain that he just needed to scale. 😀 i didn't know you sewed. do you make clothing? or is it more like embroidery? :)

Luckily no paint fumes. It was the outside we were painting, and it was nice and breezy while we did it. So it also helped make it less hot. We still have the two short but gabled (thus taller) ends to paint the main blue, the trim white under the roofline all around, and touch up the white trim around all the windows. So its still a work in progress, but I love the medium bright blue and when everything is done, I think it will look so nice. Now my mother is pushing me to also do repairs and paint my storage shed. I wasn't planning on doing that anytime soon, but she's right, it needs it and would really be great next to the house. But she wants me to paint it blue and white stripes like a circus tent. lol Idk I might do it just to make her smile. <3

I'll watch any Liam Neeson action movie because DAAAAAMN. I've been crushing on him since Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

The only Dirty Harry movie I've seen is the one with him. And you can tell it's early on in Neeson's career as he still has most of his accent.
