And...the semester ended today, our instructor was called to an emergency zo no lecture, and tomorrow's shop is also cancelled. Meaning no group will finish their projects, and mine will need to contact the instructor to determine what is to be done with mine transmission.
All that is left is the final exam and wait for grades.
i just wanted to wish you a wonderful advent season and remind you of the spirit of christmas.... in this time many are so under time pressure, have money shortage or sick family members, all things that cost us a lot of strength... the more important it is to try to take a few minutes for yourself every day, to breathe deeply... you can try to sit down, collect yourself, enjoy the moment... forget that nothing has to be perfect, you can't please everyone... you shouldn't put energy into things you can't change... as a woman you have christmas too, you are not a butler... if there is less money for presents this year, you can organize a "wichteln"... each member of the family draws a name from a cup and gives a present only to the one whose name he has drawn... it's not perfect, but it's better than not being able to sleep because you don't know how to give presents to the whole family... you don't have to put a goose on the table, there are so many nice dishes for the holiday... next year it will be better again... and maybe you have a homeless person nearby that you always pass by... he would certainly be happy about a small bag with fruit and treats... it doesn't always have to be something big... the spirit of christmas shows itself everywhere...
++++++++++++++ many, many thanks to all of you who found such kind words.... slowly i can breathe again... it is still bad and hurts and the loneliness is hard to bear.... but they say that time heals all wounds... I hope it doesn't take that long...

HI. HELLO. I'm here! I'm alive. Things got really rough over the summer and...well, they haven't actually gotten that much better but I'm finding my balance again. I'm currently sick (roommate just went out to grab covid tests for the household, just in case) so I'm tired and not really up for saying much at the moment but since I finally thought to pop on here, I wanted to assure you all that I'm okay. When I'm feeling up to it, I'll try to give y'all a bigger, better update but hopefully a quick hello is enough to soothe any worries. <3
: My dear precious otter-boy! Thank you so much for checking in and letting us know about you! (lots of tears of happiness). I hope you are soon feeling much better! Don't forget to check Melody's Cottage every day and come to the Lair to have a cup of cocoa and a hug. We all love you and miss you.
I'll keep the cocoa flowing and Lady Frieda will dispense hugs. You don't want her cocoa and I'm more of a paw-shake kind of weasel-boy.
You are not THAT MUCH of a stick-in-the-mud, Weldon.
So, you're implying that I am somewhat of a stick-in-the-mud, then?
You said it, not me.
: Thank you for your warm wishes and thought-provoking words of encouragement. Bless you and take good care of yourself too. May you find peace, comfort and joy during this season too.
: Good luck on your final exam. Too bad that you weren't able to finish your project though. Maybe there will be some open-shop time made available during the semester break.
: You are a good human and I love you! Happy Luminaire my Dear. (I love your poems)
Thank you for checking in. So sorry your not feeling well.
Big Hug to keep you warm.
. . . Someone told me I have two faults. I don't listen and . . . some other stuff they were rattling on about.
I was hoping you were feeling better. I will continue to hope and pray for you to feel better. I appreciate you coming on to update us.HUGS!!! HUGS such a lovely meaningful post!!! Geez I am so upset with myself I have been waiting to announce Duane's birthday and I dropped the ball. But again, you saved me. I so appreciate you doing Duane's birthday announcement.
I am in tears with you while reading your pain. I had my sophee with me by my side for 15 years. I still miss her so much. I wish I could hug you through the computer but since I cannot...my love goes to your through my prayers and thoughts. Losing a dear, dear furry family member is one of life's hardest challenges and pains. I love you dear, dear friend... hugs ❤

Hey everybody! Its been a while since I have posted in here. I am a little excited and wanted to share my good news with you all. I have just been offered my first Adjunct Professor position. Beginning next semester I will be teaching Intro to Psychology at community college. I am a bit nervous. I have only taught at the elementary level in public school, as a sub. LOL.... But I am ready for something new.

. I'm here but on my tablet again. Babysitting so I have to be in my living room. I've been able to pick up Melody gifts but for some reason it said I already picked up today's. Could someone show me what today's gifts where?? So I can check to see if I got it. I had a doc appointment this morning and I know I didn't get it after I got home and didn't get on Subeta this morning. Maybe it was after midnight when I thought I got yesterday's. I wish my remembered worked.

- Hi stranger :) That is great news! Big congrats to you!
Hey, do you have the Melody's Cottage Widget active? That tells you if you've gotten the items already.

my tablet won't allow me to add it. Next time I can get on the computer I will try. Same reason I can't change my avatar. Using my Kindle for Subeta sucks.
Thanks
OMG! I thought today was the third of December. I'm an idiot. I got the first two days.

Hello everyone.Good to see you all. yes i'm having a blast with the weapons i have to battle with now. :)
Tokens from the wizard are much more expensive than items in the bake shop! Yikes! I am out already!
I have a little drawing in my wallet. Very dear to me, having that handed to me by such a dear person and friend! I wear the necklace on Shabbat with such joy. :-) How's Mrs. Author these days?
I hope you had a lovely birthday. Every time I go outside to do something productive, I get so discouraged by the enormity of it that I scuttle back inside. Someday....
I should battle daily... Not much I do daily, except go to work and play on my "smart" phone. The world's worse invention: a wondrous thing at the wrong time. My favourite book City comes to mind.... Couldn't get my grandson to listen to me read it. Too slow moving. Man! But my granddaughter is listening to y reading of Anne of Green Gables.
HAPPY LUMI EVERYONE
