Hi everyone! So I've been pretty quiet since the beginning of the CW Sale way back on December 12th when I uploaded the Spirit Bad Apple set. I wanted to thank you all for the support in my CW shop during the sale sooner... But my computer died. My computer was pretty old - still windows 7, hardware at least 10+ years old itself, etc - and due to its behavior I knew it's days were numbered. It then began restarting on its own randomly and infrequently, saying windows failed to start, saying windows didn't shut down properly... I spent all of the 15th troubleshooting with a tech guy over the phone, but every time I opened firefox, tried to reinstall firefox, or even any other browser, the computer would abruptly restart. On the 16th it couldn't make it even seconds past turning on before it started its endless restarting, and I knew it was dead.

I had many worries at this time. The files of this computer are the culmination of multiple transfers to new computers, new operating systems, and well, I've had it my entire life and some of the most important things to me are on my computer. Relevant here was my drawing program and all the CWs I've ever drawn. I was so incredibly sad that there was a possibility that I would have to close my CW shop less than a year after opening it. I'd get a new computer sure, but I use a very old and specific version of PS and my tablet is older too and I was worried that its software wouldn't work either. And I'd have to let down the people who commissioned me when it came to recolors because the files were gone.

Fortunately... That didn't happen! Yep, my hard drive was able to be gotten the files from and everything is on my new windows 10 computer which I got on the 19th. I found my PS app file is still able to open and my tablet works still. BadLuck cws will kick it into 2022!

TLDR: My computer died and my CW files were at risk but crisis is averted.

Unfortunately... this whole ordeal took a huge toll on me. I have pretty poor mental health (which is why I release things at a snails pace, create bare minimum events, etc) and have a really intense anxiety reaction. So rewind to the 15th when I was troubleshooting, I began losing my appetite and ate less and less over the next few days. The thought of food made me queasy to the point where I vomited on the 18th, then 3 times the next day, and I thought all I could tolerate was Ritz crackers and water... And then on the 20th I couldn't keep anything down, eventually even water. I lost track of how many times I vomited that day alone, probably upwards of 10? I was severely dehydrated and could barely speak, my stomach was killing me and honestly I felt like I was about to die. And I went to the emergency room that night, mainly to get those glorious IVs of saline since I was puking up every drop of moisture my body has ever known. I was treated and went home early the next morning feeling good with an anti-nausea prescription. I slept, woke up, sipped coffee and took one of my new repulsive tasting anti-nausea pills. Aaand the puking started again. And I went to the ER again. And that's the story of how I went to the ER twice in one day! But seriously I was treated again, and had my medication switched to.. ahem... another method of delivery, so that I wouldn't have to taste it. :P

Over the next few days I was recovering and slowly ate more and I'm pretty much back to normal now! 👍 December has been a wild ride and I feel like I missed most of it haha. And sadly I had plans to do some holiday cws / event, but well, after all that the moment has passed.

TLDR: Hospitalized because I couldn't stop throwing up, and I have since recovered.

That being said, pretty soon it will be the 1 year anniversary of my CW shop! Because of the aforementioned snails-pace releasing, I didn't actually complete the one goal I wanted to when I first started. Like, at all. I wanted to make my Bad Apple set in all the fantasy colors human avatar bases. At the very least, I managed to get the basic and versatile black and white sets uploaded, so yay!

Thank you all so much for supporting me and my CW shop this past year. When I was preparing to set up, I never imagined so many people would be interested in the things I've drawn, and after a year it still blows my mind. My group has over 70 people in it! Even moreso I never thought people would like it so much that they would approach me to commission me. My Art, Released By Others I'm so glad that I didn't have to close my CW shop and everything worked out so that I wouldn't have to leave you all. I still have some finished recolors and some new works-in-progress that I'm looking forward to uploading in the new year.
