So yeah, if you want cookies, smail me. :)
- I have absolutely NOTHING planned for Christmas! lol! I might want to do something about that. ;P Though I did tell my husband he and the kids are making Christmas Eve dinner (we do that instead of a fancy dinner on Christmas). Between a grown man who doesn't cook, a 21 year old daughter who doesn't like the effort of cooking, and a massively picky 14 year old son who has probably watched 100 hours of cooking videos on youtube, something passing for food should come out of this. XD
or any Tome
Thank you!! I should probably start my Lumi shopping if nothing else... ;)
Well I hope that works out for you, lol. I should probably start thinking about what I am going to cook. We had talked about hosting a party, but I don't think I'm up to the task this year. I've not been feeling very well at all.
I am struggling, tbh, so I'm trying to spread as much happiness as I can to combat it. And thank you! made the wig and gifted it to me and I just had to use it. So gorgeous. :D
- I'm so sorry you're not doing well!! Sending prayers and hugs your way! <3 Sometimes it's ok to take a break and let someone else do the cooking. ;) And this is coming from the person who goes through personal agony just watching other people cook in my kitchen. lol Especially when my husband is in there. I usually have to leave the room. It's for the best. :P ((HUGS))
Ringo Thank you! I went to the doctor today and they're testing me up the wazoo to find out what is going on. No answers yet. My husband is cooking tonight, since I'm not well. It should be very interesting. ;)
Edit: 12/15
I've decided to give you guys one additional week to respond, since this is such a busy time of year. If you have not already done so, you have until 12/23 to tell me what you'd like for Luminaire. :)
Thank you! I decided to focus on gifting instead of receiving this year. It seems to be a good year for it. I hope dinner went well last night! And hope you have some answers very soon. <3

That's my focus this year, too, as much as I can swing it anyway. :) The dinner was...interesting. I gave him an easy recipe for making a red wine mushroom sauce and the recipe called for 2 tbsp. of demiglace. We bought an 8 oz. container, because that was the smallest that we could find. He followed all of the recipe EXCEPT he used ALL of the demiglace. The sauce was....thick and....meaty tasting lol. More like gravy.
As for my illness, they did all sorts of test and found nothing, so who knows? I'm feeling better, though. And I have a brand new nephew as of last Saturday! :D
Skrae, I like the use of the new Lumi shirt! I'm mid stride right now creating my HA with the horse.
OH NOOOOO. I mean, when I first started cooking, I used 2 tsp of flour for some cookies instead of 2 Tbs..
Fingers crossed that the feeling better remains! Congratulations on the new nephew! Some good friends just had their daughter this AM. :)
Thanks! I like your scene setup with the horse! I just though the sweater was too cute to not try? I haven't been doing as much with my HA and kind of wanted to work on that.

Oh no! They must have never baked, then. Just a puddle of cookie dough? :D And double thank you! Yay for new babies. :3 You did a nice job with it. I was thinking of trying it too, maybe next month. I really only have time right now to change my HA about once a month.
I don't need anything but wishing you Happy Holidays.

They baked....very firmly to the parchment paper! XD It was at least funny thankfully.
That's fair. I will probably have less time to mess with mine for the first couple months of the new year.
[tot=skrae]
Ok, thank you and happy holidays to you, too! <3
Ooooh yeah, I could see that happening, too. I'm supposed to be making homemade manicotti tonight and my brain is just not feeling it today. :S
Oooh, that does sound amazing. I understand that feeling very well. I have a hard time doing tasks during holiday season.
I'm definitely making sauerkraut soup tonight though. Instant pot makes it a ton easier.
[tot=skrae]
I have my daughter to help, so that makes it a bit easier. I like cooking with her. I've never had sauerkraut soup before. I've never even had good sauerkraut, I don't think. How is it in soup?
That's good then! I'm glad she's able to help.
It's pretty good; it's a cream style soup so it helps add an acidic element to balance out the richness. My partner will eat sauerkraut and kimchi both out of the container, regularly.
Usually the kind that has to be kept refrigerated tends to taste better, I think. Canned or jarred isn't bad per se, but it's definitely less tangy.

That sounds interesting. I just might have to try it someday. I made a really delicious soup two days ago and even though I made a ton of it, it's not going to last to Friday I don't think. :) I only just tried kimchi for the first time a couple of months ago. It was different, but good. I'd like to try a more authentic kimchi at some point.
