This should be fixed now! There was a problem causing events to get backed up. When we fixed it, a lot of backlogged events were released. So you might have gotten a bunch of sidebar events earlier as it was going through that backlog. Pinging since that probably affected a lot of people.

It would be great if someone can confirm that events sent to CW shop followers is working again, as that may be its own separate issue, but I'm not sure. We definitely want to make sure that's working before the CW sale starts.

Just to clarify - it's normal if you got a TON of pings at once earlier when we fixed this. That's because they were stuck there for a while, and they all got delivered at once when we unclogged the system. (Sorry about the accidental spam!)

I think it's indeed working now, but I'll leave this bug report open for a little longer just in case.

It's because the event text contains "forums" or "post" or similar in it. The way event categories work is, it just looks at the event text and makes a "best guess" based on that. It doesn't always guess correctly though as you can see. This has come up every so often but is not something we will be able to fix until we move the system to V2. We know it is a little confusing, and we'll make sure the new system doesn't have this problem when we get there.
