When I was younger my brother and I made a deal, I would cook and he would clean up. I was the best cook in the house and hated to clean so it worked for us. My mother was a really bad cook. We basically grew up on McDonalds, Little Caesars, and any other cheap fast food. I started teaching myself to cook by the time I was 8. My mother never really learned to cook since she was the baby out of nine children. She eventually tried, but never had much success with cooking anything very appetizing. Luckily I enjoyed it and basically handled the cooking for all of us.:)

I basically had the same deal with my Grandpa :) I hated cleaning up (especially the dishes) so he would do them! worked out well for us.

Kinda boring with no events going on. Neugarten isn't my favorite but I wish it would start just for something to do.

I know what you mean .･ﾟﾟ･(／ω＼)･ﾟﾟ･. I can't wait to see all of the new food items! I just wish there was more to do then just buy stuff.

I need to buy up a lot of the Neugarten food to feed to my pet. Little by little I'm getting all the stuff I need from each of the events. I got most of the stuff from the steamworks shop at this point. I still need the stickers and the food. I've been buying food from the lounge a bit at time to feed my pet. I just have to do it a bit at a time as my pet gets hungry again.

I agree, there are many of the food items I would love to try irl. I love trying new things. I loved watching the show Bizarre Foods. Some of that stuff I know I would never try, but other things would be fun to try.

I got hooked on watching youtube cooking videos lately! I have a bunch of them favorited so I can try them :D

I never really watch anything on youtube. I never really looked to see what kind of cooking videos there are on there. I'll have to check it out.

OMG there are so many! I watch Boone Bake for beautiful cakes and desserts, Imamu room makes amazing bentos and I love all the Korean street food vids :D There are just so many different people to watch!

My gourmand pet got the achievement long ago so I'm not interested in food items unless there's a new achievement for it or it's interesting and pretty enough for my gallery. Wow, we haven't had any new achievements for a long time. Not even the morostide rag dolls.

I checked out a few of the videos of Boone Bake. The cakes are great. I definitely want to try a couple of them.

I still have a ways to go before I reach the gourmand achievement. I'll get there eventually though. Maybe they'll do more achievements soon for you to work toward.

I know. I just wish I could find fruit that looks as good as the stuff she uses!!

I live in a farming community so there are a lot of farms around here where you can go and pick your own fruit and vegetables. It's easy enough to find fruit that looks great.

I wish I lived somewhere like that :(

The downside to living in a farming community is you end up having to drive forever to get anywhere. Right now I have an hour drive to work, which is tiring. I really want to find a house closer to town. I would like to find something so that I have less than a 30 minute drive. Of course then I'll have to actually deal with having close neighbors.

Yeah everything has its downside unfortunately :( that drive really stinks! I hate driving, so my limit is about an hour a day lol.

I hate driving also, but I'm also used to it at this point. I've made this same drive from work to home for over 20 years. I would like to get closer to town. My ideal would be some place in which I could actually have my groceries and stuff delivered. I would love to be able to become a hermit and only leave the house to go to work.

I am pretty much a hermit these days! I have gotten to the point where I just want to stay home!

I've always been that way. I am more of a homebody. I mainly just leave the house when I have to for work and stuff. I actually liked when we were in lockdown and I was even able to work from home. It was great.
