That is honestly terrifying. My uncle was a severe diabetic and had those same risks so I understand how scary it is to see those numbers come back. I'm glad they were able to rouse her in the ambulance and then get her checked and admitted in the hospital. It is not good she restarted the meds without letting anyone know but I'm glad she is going to see a different doctor and hopefully get something more appropriate.

I am also glad you were able to board your dog and get a ride to your appointment so that the doctor could help you out better and that you're finally getting some actual relief. I hope things start going up from here!

Yeah, it's really easy for it to go out of control quickly. Hopefully seeing a new doctor will help - she may not even need medication anymore if her numbers have been in normal ranges without it before she started taking it again.

And I'm really glad to hear you've been getting pain relief!

She has been meidication free before so perhaps that will happen. the doc did take her off of it because her surgars were just too low. So we'll see if they hold overnight. If so, I suspect they'll release her tomorrow

I hope she's released soon and that she can stay medication free so there's no risk of a repeat of this happening hugs

Eh. Don't have insurance approval for the injections I'm supposed to have today yet so I'll likely cancel and then I'll have to wait several weeks because I'm going out of town next week and am out of time this week.

ugh I'm sorry.

Sorry I've been a bit MIA. I've been under a lot of stress. Mum's sugar levels have continued to plummet at the hospital and I've had to call at midnight, and 4 am to check on her/ have her call the nurse to check her levels. She has needed lots of support and it's been very stressful/draining on me. I haven't had much sleep. She came home yesterday but in order to do it, I've had to find a glucose metre and get it shipped here--but also had to find a way to get one for the night because the one she had was not giving accurate readings and was too dangerous to have a metre you can't trust is accurate. Anyway for over 7 hours yesterday I tried to get a nap but every time I was nearly asleep the phone rang, door bell rang, cat woke me, needed to watch dog, etc. I FINALLY got a short nap at 8pm. It's been a really tough time and I just couldn't even try to reply, sorry.

That sounds extremely exhausting. I hope that the doctor can figure out how to help her with her glucose levels because that seems really strange they kept dropping (and frustrating that you had to call the hospital when they should have that notated and should be checking her themselves without reminder every couple of hours -_- ).

I'm okay. Prepping to leave on vacation for a week on the other side of the states so a bit stressed with not much time. I leave Saturday night. I haven't yet had a chance to watch Heartstopper but I hear good things.

Ooh, a vacation though ! How fun ! It's amazing. Short (seriously, 8 episodes and about 20 minutes each), sweet, and incredibly important. Also incredibly heartbreaking but not because the show is sad.

Thank you! I like your photo bombing animals haha. And I'm okayish. Really really exhausted. Travel didn't go as planned. Our flight got cancelled and instead of a nonstop 5 hour trip we had to spend an extra 3 hours at the airport, switch airlines, and take two 4 hour flights with a layover between. We got here safely but it's been a long day.
