What Happens During Morostide?

It will either be today or tomorrow. I'm hoping today so then we will have more time (especially to get the new borders), but they might extend it into November a bit anyway, especially if there's technical issues like these events sometimes have. If the links to the different places appear on the news page, you know it will start soon. The news post announcing it should explain everything.
Event Actions
If the items are showing up in the directory, usually that means the event will be starting today :) There will be a special Morostide event forum section with guides as well as details in the news post when the event starts that should help you out with some of the specifics.
In addition to the patch and trick or treating, you can zap your avatar for a chance to unlock seasonal skins (existing ones and potentially new ones - I don't see any new ones in the wardrobe currently, but I'm not sure if those would show ahead of time or not) and there are floating item pumpkins that show up around the site and can be carved either as food items or for the carved pumpkin collection (during the next event, Fireside, Fantine also requests that you bring her pumpkins, carved or uncarved, in exchange for a chance at some pumpkin baked goods)
There are also several achievements to work on if you're into that :)

There's also egging and TPing users and floating pumpkins that can be carved, all of which have achievements.
My favorite part of Morostide is the Pumpkin Patch, which is only open during Morostide. You can also Trick or Treat at other user&;s profiles (ex: [tot=Rogue]) to get goodies! Neither of these require any planning in advance, they are just holiday links to get free items on a timer. There will also be Morostide-specific battle challengers available for the holiday, so be sure to put your pet in the Training Center if you are interested in that. The Human Zapper (will be linked at the Pet Zapper) is also only available during Morostide. You can zap your HA and possibly unlock some cool skins for a token fee. You can see possible skins in the wardrobe under Skins tab - not all of these are zapper skins, but a list of unlockable zapper skins usually pops up in the Morostide forum in a day or two to help users navigate what is available to unlock. Finally, although any pet color combo can be released at any time during the year, Morostide is traditionally when we see new Bloodred or Nightmare pets released. Though there is no guarantee any will be released or that we won&;t get different pets in a different color!</p>

Thank you for this write up. I'm hoping that my HA issues are worked out sometime during the event, or that maybe the Zapper possibly debugs me lol.
I'm too too excited to see the new skins!! I believe I have all of them so far.
