That's what doctors do. I'm friends with a few, and have way too many personally. They're wonderful people usually, just a pain in the ass (literally in your case lol). I hope your appointment goes well.

I'd love to get a sleeper car on a train. I've been from Ann Arbor to Chicago on a train, and that was a fun four hour trip. :)

I'm at vacation location now! the hotel is very nice and there's a sort of computer desk thing where I've set up my laptop.

it's raining but we're going on a mostly outdoor tour thing anyway. hopefully the rain isn't constant.

I think you need to take a train ride! Mine was from San Francisco to Seattle so was just the one night. We had gotten delayed at some point so on the 2nd day they drove at 80 miles an hour to make up time, which was not a very smooth ride.

Have you slept there yet?

I'll have to go visit someone in NYC, lol. That's like a 10-12 hour drive, I think? Should be right. Though I'd have to go to Chicago or Toledo to get the right train...
