Just wanted to add my two cents in, since it helped me tremendously once I started paying attention to training my pets for battle - Make sure you are doing Quentin's daily quests. Occasionally, you will get one of the Mage amulets, which you can then turn over to the Mage Quests in Shadowglen. Most of the time he will hand you back shards, but occasionally you will get a Tome. Those are golden - whatever pet you use it on will gain several stats at once. Some days I get none, and some days I get 1 or 2 Tomes. Either way, it's a nice additional way to bulk up your pet's stats.

Welcome to the site! I've been a member for almost 14 years now and a lot has changed in that time.

When I was younger, the Blue Building was one of the main things I struggled with. They hyped it up so much, I just wanted in!! I'm also an avid collector of, well, all the things (hence my shop/gallery names being some version of "All the Things"). As a collector I love getting achievements. Seeing items that are crazy expensive to complete an achievement is discouraging but I just have to keep plugging away at it. My goal way back when was to have one of every item in a gallery but after an almost 10 year hiatus from Subeta I'm realizing that's an impractical thing to do. Instead I just collect high value items.

That being said, having been gone for 10 years makes a HUGE difference in the things we can do now. There are so many new events, new places to visit, a few new types of currency and so many things to collect. At one point I was in the top 100 for riches users and when I check now, I haven't budge too much (129th) but it's another personal goal to work towards.

This site is a lot of fun and I'm glad you're enjoying your experience thus far! We all have our roadblocks so take comfort in that. Just chip away a little bit at a time and you'll find you make it to your goals in no time! If you're ever looking for a friend, don't hesitate to reach out.

Welcome! I've been part of Subeta for some time. I come and go as I tend to get bored even though there is so much to do. My biggest roadblock tends to be the achievements, and battling as well. Not to mention the amount of pets you can eventually have. I've been focusing on the food achievements and have a list of which pet is doing which one, so I can actually keep track and keep focus.

Achievements can really kick us down! Some are from such long-term goals, they can feel so intimidating, for me one that sticks out is the Bathhouse ones. I'm a bit bad on logging in everyday, and I'm so scared that I might lose my streak fjklwejfw Best of luck to you in your achievements!

I recently lost my bathhouse streak because my laptop needed repairs.

To ensure I don't forget, I bookmarked the link to the bathhouse.

Training your pets, at least, is easier here than on Neopets.

Though now you get can interesting drops from opponents after 10 wins now too. So maybe just grind on the bosses you pet can currently handle and sell what you get.

It might help if you try completing some holiday related achievements. Moro is coming up so maybe try completing some of those?

I'm pretty excited to try getting the event achievements!! Depending on how well it goes, I might legit end up finishing the 250 achievements goal during the event :D Not to mention, it does sound super fun in general. Looking foward to it, and if necessary, I will for sure take a look at the forums for some help.

And the bee is adorable, but not one of my main goals there for now! Having it unlocked is a pretty nice bonus tho, I will admit.

One of the best things to be doing if you're interested in trying battling is Battle Quests. You're not going to get far at very low tiers, but you're still going to get experience points to put towards your pet's stats to make it stronger faster. An added bonus I found for me is that every level you can get past (especially every 5th level where it gets a harder with a different set of random opponents) really shows how better you and your pet are getting. :)

I always end up redoing my Bathhouse one all the time. I'm trying real hard this time to not lose it.

Battle Quests are a god-sent gift because my god, I wouldn't have my stats up this high if they didn't exist. And 100% agreed, not long ago I could barely get to the 6th, and now I usually can at least hangout in the 10-12th mission :D

And it's such a long time too, right now I am just a month in, but I would prob ragequit if I was at like, day 270 lol

I feel that. I keep getting busy so I forget to do it. I just ended up restarting today

I fully understand WHY it is like that, but sometimes I do wish we got a "grace period" like this, maybe something cash-shop related when you can freeze a day and keep your streak you know? Never going to happen for many reasons, but damn sometimes I wish it happened.
