: I definitely wouldn't want to go up against Prodigy without mine! My default set tends to be acorn bomb, BHB, ME, Cronus, Soma Tablets, Recycle Blaster, Mecha, and P-quill. Easy switch-outs if I'm struggling are for things like RoTL or Nacho's Secret Stuff. My default gets me through BQs without any trouble and eats away at most challengers without issues. Butttttt. Some challengers are very icon-particular, and it becomes even more obvious when you're dealing with very difficult challengers who deal certain icons. That's where your other weapons are likely to get more play. For example, if I'm dealing with an opponent who deals a lot of fire damage, I'm obviously bringing in my Natasha (also a plus to have if the opponent steals, since Natasha creates tons of steal fodder for them).

So far, I've tried to make sure I have at least a decent blocker for each icon type. There are other weapons I'd like to have that provide slight upgrades, better healing/curses/blessings, or fill niche needs... but in general, having a solid blocker of each type will get you a long way in battling.

On your list, Cronus = magma, ME = dark, MW = water, OHS = earth, Ether = physical, Trident = wind, Natasha = fire. It looks like you're just missing light (which dark goddess rod will take care of when you hit T13) and ice. I'm using Malhuili to cover my light/ice base... only because it's what I already had. I don't think it generally makes the list as a top blocker. USS (which you probably have?) also covers ice, as does Blade of the Bonfire.

Basically, if your base set isn't getting the job done in a battle, check out the Challenger Guide to see what icons the challenger hits hardest with, and switch up your set accordingly.

I have The One Ring, Prodigys Eyeball, Rapier of Error, but those ones really don't do a bunch of light do they? (Or protect really)

: Acorn bomb is only T7. I like it for my mid-tiered pets and I keep it in Apos's default just to bomb through BQs a bit faster. xD It's not something I'd generally use when I'm up against a tough opponent.

I'd definitely suggest seeing if you can get another win or two in with Prodigy! I think that Apos is a higher T12 than yours, but he was able to get to 10th win (I believe using Natasha and MW as his constants). Stack those freezers with the amount of AP you have too!

The ones you mentioned won't help with light. Dark goddess rod (achiev prize for hitting T13), maniacal core, tempestuous bladed gauntlet, malhuili are some that would do the trick. Malerias staff of destruction is the god weapon that would cover that as well. I'm blanking on opponents outside of grinding Euclid that you'll really want a light blocker for though... My plan has been to use my Mal until I get the DGR.

Don't get me started on scrolls....lol. But I will change things up and see if I can beat Prodigy...

It is! So I am happy about that! And I hope I do get more this year... Poor Haneul does nothing but read! I will probably get some of those cash shop ones come Black Friday....books are the only reason I have one battle pet...lol. I decided that a long time ago.

At times I find scrolls more confusing than weapons...

I have 4 Cobalts 4 Shrieks 2 Psycho Smashers 2 Fatal Fires 2 Morosbanes 2 Voids (one is normally in the set)

And those are the ones were I have more than one, then a bunch of singles like Aftershocks (Which is in my main set), Sancturia Exodin, Soothing Current, Cold Blast, Perilous Whirlpool, Gift of the Forj, Feather Explosion....just to name a few.

My main set is Aftershocks + freezers (12 shrieks, 1 psycho smasher). For no-freeze opponents, I have a set with 4 cobalts, 9 fatal fires, lucky, gift of the forj, the void, and aftershocks.

Sometimes I switch out a freezer for gotf in my main set if I feel I need the extra heal... or lucky if I'm wanting a bomb. But in general, I'm either all freeze (minus aftershocks) or no freeze, haha.

Aftershocks has proven to be a good scroll. It is in all my sets. And that is a LOT of Shrieks....I don't think I have the Lucky scroll....where's it come from?

: I've built up my shrieks over the years. Winning them and buying them right after moros when price drops a bit. Can't have too many freezers, in my opinion!

Lucky is 5th win drop from Careapier (Friday 13th Careaper). I actually just won mine this month! Next Friday 13th is in May, so you'll be way more than ready by then. xD

I couldn't get any wins on the big guy this past one, I thought Haneul would be ready, but no. Haneul can smash the little one though.

: You probably could've (your stats aren't too far off from mine), but it definitellyyyy takes some patience and luck. I managed 11 wins (and 18 losses) with Apos this past go-around. Looking forward to being able to farm the tomes off him in May though (and hopefully win a second lucky scroll at that point with Sachmis).
