Yep! :D Profile schemes are great for adding a pop of colour to your profile without having to mess around with CSS coding. Renaming them to "Profile Colour Schemes" would make things a bit more obvious and user-friendly too.
(They would also be a great thing to have for pet profiles v2.0, but shhhh, that's an idea for another topic. ;x )
Could we have a few options for pet display? I like the option of chosing which pets are displayed on the profile. Could we also sort our pets into categories? And what if we have a "pet showcase" that showed one pet and its stats, for showing off a favorite pet/battle pet/achivement pet or something like that. It could have its full picture and stats on our profile.
Also, I am sure others who have guides or giveaways might like this too, but could we have a section that lets us display our forum topics? We could put in a topic # maybe. I guess this is basic enough for a blank section, but it would be neat to have it there.
I love displaying the avatar and how it shows the items I'm currently wearing. I'd like do be able to customize my pets part a little better, making it easier to add custom icons instead of pet headshots. I love the trophy case to display my medals, is my one thing I'd never like to remove from my page. and of course the comment box. I think the account info stuff (name, gender, registration date, birthday, profile description, online status etc.) could be simplified into a single section? and us being able to decide which ones to show from within the same block, maybe? With checkboxes or something. Add in a single "go to wishlist" button instead of having it display items in the actual wishlist. Maybe a button that links to our saved wardrobe outfits/CW shops? That's all I can think of right now! :0

Yes please! Groups too, in the same section or another one!
(Huge thanks for the idea just went and added a new blank section to my profile for this)

While I agree that people who are not using CSS should have an easier time editing their profile, I wouldn't go with too many presets. Ideally, leave us with some sliders, colors and inputs for image urls, so everyone can go nuts without much coding.
While I do appreciate the ability of arranging stuff within the profile, people rarely use it well and everything becomes bloated. If I come to a profile, I'd love to see what the person is proud of showcasing, instead of walls of badly formatted text. Make everything a lot bigger, so things don't get lost. I would love a similar approach to user profiles as Steam - of course far less ambitious. Users can decide what to showcase and instead of putting everything in some weird columns, make everything stack up in one column. I do believe that less is more in that regard to not crowd the screen with information. A smaller sidebar can be used for all the additional stuff (that is actually relevant). On top of that, make editing each and every bit as big and as clear as possible, so people lose that fear of CSS.
At this point white background images should be illegal. They are hard to look at, especially on pets, shops and achievements. I would love especially those parts of the profile to pop. While I don't want too many profile presets, I do want different variations of the profile components. Maybe one Pets component shows all pets in a scrollable grid, another one a special selection and your active pet, another one shows just the number off occupied slots, another one is just a link to another site where we can actually look at all pets the user likes to show. People have SO.MANY.PETS. Make them play with it!
Here's just a small idea I had that might be a little too much but I do believe that it would be absolutely beautiful. I would love to get the most out of sCode on your profile. While I enjoy using tables and item widgets a lot, they need to look good when creating custom profile components. Make custom profile components cool and fun to play with by making tables customizable. Changing cell sizes, adding colors, adding widgets! Expand on what we have by making links to forum posts, groups, games, game cooldowns look special and engaging. Maybe I have been grinding Flight Rising too much, but sCode is just so much easier to learn for people who are afraid of actual CSS and it could make things a lot more individual and far less complicated. Maybe imagine putting your pets up for adoption in your own, clean, stylized component where everything fits neatly into a grid! Or a component for your current progression in one achievement! Or even just a simple collection of links. There is much to explore when everything is implemented in a clean fashion and all of this might play right into people engaging with each other more.
And for what it's worth, forget everything I said before and just make the current html as simple as possible. Profile info is just nested in the most obscure tables and containers and it truly is a pain to work with, haha. Usability and functionality is genuinely hard to balance and I just hope that some of our input may come in handy during the overall development. <3
creative limboI'd kind of like to see the medals/ achievements combined. I like being able to show off what i've done but the two boxes seem redundant. maybe if the achievements gave profile medals instead of just an announcement?
I think CW shops should appear on the shops/gallery section if the user have one.
Also we should be able to manipulate easily how many pets(and which ones) we want to be shown on pets section if it is splitted. I find excruciating to do that through codes, I am noob :<
Username:
Name:
Gender:
Last Seen:
and the extra info block is
and i'd love to have a block that was "username pronouns join date + member for x time forum posts link battle stats" without having to keep it updated/check for broken links myself?
[edit] and i want the avatar block to have the option for the avatar like link too
edit^2: what i mean is, it would be nicer to have one "user info" block with ALL the user info stuff (combine the existing two, add a pronouns option and the other things people have mentioned), so long as we could pick and choose which info to display!
I like that idea I think there should be one block for all the user info and agree with giving us more of an option of things we want to display

, for me it would be great if I can customize my profile with a simple code from www. There are so many with short codes for a complete profile, simple to get and use, without beg and pay for helped User here. And a hidden box for private notes, we have no place like this here. The aĺlowing to use any lightshot for pics, not only imgur.

I don't really look at profiles, except to find the comment box or gift user option.
I do like the option of having a like HA button on profiles instead of having to find a post the user made in the forums to like their HA. Also, could we have how many HA likes we have show up on our profiles as an option, otherwise, what's the point of the function?
I'd like to be able to customize it towards the things i care about. and maybe making it so that the users can do such (much how it is now) would work. I didn't have time to read the whole thread so apologies if these are repeats lol
-I'd like a more advanced section for pets, the more you let us play around with that part the better. -Avatar that has a heart you can click right there if you like it. -I'd like a separation of gallery from shops. Shops are kind of eh. ya don't really go to someones page for that. But Galleries! some people, myself included, spend a LOT of time and monies collecting things and it would be cool to have that be made to be awesome. Right now they kind of suck at getting attention. -Leashed Pet -fullbody or some cool options
-comment box, about me, mail me, friend me, friends, medals, maybe with an option to toggle text or images, achievements, trades, stickers, plushies, beanbags -maybe give people the option to show their faves up to a certain # limit.
I like this idea. I'm not sure the best place for it is the profile, but since many people use it as a dashboard/home page, maybe it is.
There used to be a "diary" thing but by the time I joined it was already being phased out. There's also a notepad section for the sidebar, but honestly mine's already pretty bloated with favorite links, and it's difficult to edit.
Since I've been using my profile more, I'll put in my two cents: I'd like a way for them to be more customizable, like signatures are, and with CustomCSS. For some reason, I can't change the font size/color/etc without some very specific code. Also, bullet point lists.
, I try the notepad, but since long time is full with html codes, think from Dashboard. So I can't use it.

i second everyone who mentioned a link to user's CW shops!!! i know i could go search for the releaser in the CW directory, but it would just be sooooo much quicker, and more intuitive, for it to be listed with the regular shops. i've gone to profiles before thinking there would be a link with the sP shop/gallery links, because i just keep forgetting it's not there by default...
and yeah, also seconding the <3 HA button! especially cooler if you can toggle it to show or not, i'm sure there are peeps out there who don't focus on their HAs and wouldn't need/want it showing, but it would make it so convenient. especially as the heart HA or heart post buttons don't seem to work on mobile, so i could just go to profile if i'm on my phone to add that <3

This thread is interesting because most of what I'm seeing suggested is already able to be coded manually, such as separating your pets into different groups for instance. Can't you just add a blank section and then write a title for the grouping and write the scode for your pets? Maybe I don't get it. I wouldn't like much to be forcibly added to the profiles, like the enormous friend/mail icons a while back. New things disrupt existing layouts. :(
Most of what I'm seeing here is that people want easy-to-customize options, particularly ones where they don't have to do a lot of their own coding.
I agree that using the blank section is very versatile, and I even use it in the way you describe. But it's not as easy as using the Pets section. Plus, there's something more...official about using the actual Pets section. I think people want to be able to use the modules as they would like to use them. More flexibility, not force.
..
i would be happy if i can edit my profile myself without helping users here .... there are so nice sites on the net that offer ready-made codes, short ones that don't load the server so much and it would be helpful if you can insert images that are edited with fast tools, something like lightshot... ( you can check the codes for viruses before, although i never got a dirty code in almost 30 years... )
a possibility for private notes would be good, if not on the profile, then somewhere else... notepad has already been mentioned, but for me it's full of page codes, deleting doesn't help and it's unattractive to park notes on a pet profile...
and it would be sooo cool if we could give our pets minions, so to the pet picture, not separate like now. on another pet site the little ones are called "petpets"....
