Bet they can do something to help you!

Its tough when your system isnt balanced, the smallest thing can affect your body. I couldnt cope with an old fashion dr. My dr retired the end of August. So I have a new dr, old dr referred me too. So far, I am happy with him. Its sucks that something that could help has to be expensive, main reason I am so happy with the health system in the US. So many need help, but due to expense they cant get it or delay and it shouldnt be like that.

YW and the thorns are unforgiving. But i like at the beginning of the season, it blossoms with tiny white flowers that smell lightly like limes. I wish i had someone to do the yard, but then my dog isnt a fan of strangers in the yard. I decided to mow tomorrow, temperatures are starting to cool. I am not really motivated either, just doing things. Because I will regret it later, thats how my dog got a bath and nails clipped. I dont know who was more wet, me or the dog. LOL

The cold front is starting to come in also, so I'm a bit more motivated now, hopefully later today since it will be in the low 80s. First I'll take the kiddo to the park for awhile. My dog absolutely hates getting baths and anyone touching her nails. I'm sure I get wet more then she does haha

Okay, so....

[this is in regards to current world health stuff. Don't want to hear about that, don't read. (Though I don't know if it's okay to say The Name of it here on subeta, so I capitalize it.]

So my dad has been one that is against getting any shot for The Thing. My mom tends to agree with him on many things (though I don't know if her opinion may differ..). So last Wednesday, my dad's work said they had a couple guys come down with IT and wanted any that Could to work from home. He couldn't get his home computer working right on Thursday, so he went in that day. (For this next part, Yes I shake my head at too. It's ridiculous, but I also kinda understand where he's coming from. ...not that I'd ever do it too, because ...sigh not getting into my stuff here...) Anyway, so my dad has this thing he does where his work said they have to always wear a mask unless they are eating. So he keeps a constant small amount of snackage at his desk and is munching on that or drinking coffee/ water all day long.

So I don't know When exactly it started, but around Friday my mom called and said he wasn't feeling too great and if I could pick up my sorta-sister from work and take her back to campus. Over the weekend, as I talked to her occasionally, she seemed to sound a bit more sick.

They haven't mentioned Anything about having Any trouble breathing or whatnot, but here it is Tuesday afternoon and she just called me to say my dad wants to take them both to the hospital.

He dragged himself across the sand with a busted acl when he was oversees and he's done So many stupid things without pain relief. He can take the pain. He's been so against a lot of the health suggestions lately. I can only imagine that the reason he's wanting to go is that he's worried about mom. (the way she sounded, she Knows it's a weird thing for it to be Him to suggest going to the hospital.)

So like, I've got to go over to their house in a couple hours to take care of their dog and cat (the dog having some health issues of her own) and ..... I'm worried. They're in their late 60's.

To add on to that, it's going to be my kinda-sister's birthday this coming weekend. It's the last one she'll have before she goes back home to Uganda in early December.

I just... I think I am calmly freaking out over here... Any prayers for them would be good.

oh my!!! Are they off already or do/did you get to seethem for a bit before they went in as they wont let you visit later if positive. Just hope it is the fall flu maybe ( not the other IT). They're off already. I haven't seen them since early last week (Sunday..?) when we had a dinner together.
My aunt suggested maybe they picked up something because of the bathroom remodeling they've been doing.
I'm freaking shaking right now and I honestly don't know if it's because of this or not eating enough again today...

Called my aunt and I'm to keep her updated, but we're gonna try and not tell my G-ma so she doesn't worry yet.
I'm gonna try and call one of my parents when I'm done eating, but I also should find some gloves so I can head over soon to take care of their pets. Edit: Tried calling. Neither picked up. I'll try again in an hour or two.

that is good you can care for their pets..it would be a relief for them to know they are cared for by someone that loves them. Yes keep trying to call..if they are there in ER or being admitted there are a deluge of steps and staff they have to wade through and maybe just can't pick up yet because of that ! I had some strawberry rhubarb pie last wek. it is hard to find but yummy. it has been YEARS since i had one...I used to have my own prolific rhubarb plant till it fianally died of old ge i guess hahahah..

Took care of the pets, but I'll have to come by every four hours or so for the dog. Working on how I can keep myself clean going from there to my house every time. Just got a call from my sister. She said dad called. They tested positive and are being kept overnight. I don't know about longer. (...now I think of it, I should try and make sure my dad's work knows he's gonna be out..)

To be honest, it's not the greatest pumpkin pie. (I prefer our homemade ones where we cook down the pumpkin ourselves.) But I was Really craving it. My sister's notr a fan of this one, but it satisfies my pumpkin cravings. My other sis insisted on going back to the store because I forgot whipped cream. lol starwberry rhubarb is ... yummy to me depending on how chunky the rhubarb is. (I may or may not be bitter that I was fooled as a child, thinking is was just a strawberry pie, but finding they put a Vegetable in it! ack! ) I can only think of once or twice in my life I ever had a straight, just strawberry pie. I thought it was yummy.
I read a story the other day and a character was baking pies. One of them was a raspberry pie. It would probably take a lot of berries for a whole pie, but it sounded delicious.

i ont like they tested + and dont feel well on top of it. Once admitted with a + they cant have visitors :( .Can you take the pets to YOUR place??or is that out of the question? how many are there besides the dog? It is just that you neednt be going in their house each day several times even if you mask up! I would worry about you.

Well I didnt get my yard done, I havent slept good in a few days. Hoping to do it tomorrow, we had mid 80s today. I love it! I meant to walk my dog today to, and that didnt happen. That made me feel bad, but his a cuddle bug so he didnt get upset with me. He got over being annoyed for bath and nails, and took a good nap.

I don't really have a choice on the pets. The cat is an indoor/ outdoor and the dog ...I'm pretty sure it would cause her more stress to change locations. On top of that, we already have two cats at our place. Neither of which would appreciate either of them. If it goes on for too long, I will reconsider my options, but for now it would just be more trouble.

I Lysol'd the Heck out of their place though. lol Wet wiped pet food containers and handles. They musta been Really out of it though... I found one of my mom's skillets on the stovetop. It was on. Thankfully it didn't start anything, but her pan is ruined. (If that is the worst that comes of all this, I'll count it a blessing.)

Kept a double layer of some fresh masks on the entire time and pretty much didn't sit down at all except outside (was nice enough I could spend most of the time outside with the Pepper (dog) and George (cat). ) And kept washing my hands. Gonna need some lotion when this is all said and done. I'm setting up a certain set of clothes to wear only over there and taking them off as soon as I get home and just keeping that as my 'go to parents house' clothes. I also lysol'd myself before I got in my car. Ridiculous? Maybe... But better a little too much than too little. (working with kids before all this started, I had a Great appreciation for sanitary-ness. This all just ramped it up a level. )

We got a call from my dad when I got home this evening. He had been trying to get the nurses to tell him which room my mom was in and they hadn't come through yet. My sis called while I was in the shower and got her room number and left a message for the nurses to tell him. Apparently they turn the room phones off at night 'to let the patients sleep'. (I call bs, but whatever...)

My mom called just a bit ago. She seemed just as worried as he had been. (I knew this would happen and I'm upset that I didn't think to warn them..) She was upset that she didn't know they would be separated and that she didn't get to say goodbye / hug him.
Us girls all said our 'I love you's But ...I'm starting to wonder if when this is all over maybe this can be one step closer to convincing them to get a smart phone... they took their phones with them, but they are flip phones with Nothing but calling (not even texting). It would be really good for them in this kind of situation, I think, to be able to facetime family. But they can't. It's frustrating.

Yes a cold front! We didn't hit 100 very often this summer, but with the humidity it felt 100+ a few times. For the next week or so it'll be in the 80s/low 90s, so perfect weather. Today or well yesterday, I am up at 1:10am cst, I took Michael to the park to see the ducks and walk around for a bit. He did more rolling around in the grass, but overall still a fun day. I absolutely love your d&d mini! It looks exactly like you and Doom! Heroforge is pretty fun to make mini's in and I have made a few, but I still use the wardrobe on here for most of my characters. Speaking of D&D, we are going to be playing the last session of the current campaign and our DM has said we may or may not die, but it will depend on what happens from where we are now until the end. As the main healer, I play a Twilight Cleric Moon Elf, I'm afraid I won't have enough spell slots to keep the party going.
