Hubby and I decided last minute to go on a birthday adventure this next week! We have three birthdays next week, and I've been longing for the sea. So we're going primitive camping on the Outerbanks for a week. No power, no hot water, and almost no cell service so I'll be MIA until the end of the month when I get back home. :)

Excited about everything except the no hot water bit. haha! :D :D We went camping there about five years ago and it was incredibly soothing. Our kids are going to be so thrilled when they find out on friday!!

Primitive camping tip. Bring some heavy duty black plastic bags, and sturdy twine/rope. Before you go hiking, fishing, or whatever for the day, fill the bags with water and hang 'em out in the sun. By evening you'll have fairly hot water.

Oh you lucky lady, anything near the sea or ocean I am for. You can take baby wipes to clean up/substitute bath. Gosh and its secret until Friday, you will be trying so hard not to tell the kids. My hubby is the one that cant keep a secret, I almost have to tape his mouth shut. Oh that is a good tip!

: Ooh! Sounds like fun! Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina sounds like a very beautiful place to go! Like Yosemite only with the ocean. I've only been to the Pacific ocean and it was pretty touristy...but I did get to see some sea weasel cousins there. Have a great time!

With good intent the other 2 birthday threads were started. When this one locks, Myself or (FV) will ping group to the one FV had started.
