In slightly more positive FEH news, thanks to my +10 Jorge being the bonus unit I am clinging to one of the last like 30 spots of Great Summoner at the moment... I fully don't expect it to last, but maaaaybe I'll actually stay in T20 for a consecutive week for the first time ever.

I have been really confused yet again about the must fundamental mechanics of the game, so maybe some of you could bear with me, haha. How are people going on about building their teams? I mostly throw things together that seem logical, but I never really have a clear team for doing very special teams. I mostly just train stuff up, farm supports or assemble a team for some quests.What should I look out for when building my AR or arena team? What in the hell is scoring and why do I still jump between ranks even though I win most of the time, haha? Are people even doing all these other modes like arena assault? I keep sleeping on them because I don't know shit about them and all these different blessings and seasons kind of confuse me. My light teams always get destroyed too which makes AR really frustrating sometimes! :D

- Depends on what you are trying to do. I try to keep a balance of magical and physical units, as well as a mix or ranged and melee, and also a mix of colors. I usually just throw together a mix of those for things most modes. I try to have a mage, dragon, melee, and then an archer/healer/dagger/another of the first three. My arena team is a Sword, green mage, blue dragon, and bonus uint typically. My AR teams are similar, but oddly less balanced despite the higher number of units. I just slowly have built my arena team over time with better skills. My AR team is mostly +10 units and the corresponding seasonal mythics, I don't put much strategy into my AR defense OTL I've encountered some really clever arena defense set ups, but I'm not that smart.

Arena assault is pretty straight forward, it's just seven battles in a row. I don't use my typical arena team for it, cus that makes it too hard, the 'difficulty' of the battles is based on the strength of your first team. My first team is just a couple of gen 1 5s units, then the rest I kind of just use units I like but otherwise aren't using, modifying sometimes based on threats.

Aether Raids are tough to really make a strategy. Make sure you have the mythics for the coresponding season on your team cus they'll give stat buffs to the other units if they have the blessing for that season, and increase your score if you win. Eir and Reginn are free, so you should use them. They're both also really good. Then I've just picked a few units I like in the 4s pool and have made them 5s with merges and given them the seasonal blessings so they get the stat buffs. I win about 50% of the time. Sometimes the defense teams are just impossible. >.<

Oh gosh, did you see the new mythic? Another fe4 character... is Nintendo telling us something? (Also, if memory serves me, we never saw the crusaders before if only for one photo?)

Now I want Bragi (and Claud) with all my might...

But I won't spend any orb for the new character, need to save those for either Eirika or Marth, depends on who I get-

Ngl, thought they were all men except the Gael bog wielder. Claude would be nice, bragi too, mythic staff wielder! Ullr is at least unique, aka. Not an op dragon. Lol. I wish she wasnt blue and sharing a banner with Dimitri. That guy really likes me for some reason, so if I try to pull for her, I'll probably just end up with 3 more leg. Dimitri. No desire to build him, and his skill fodder isnt the greatest, so ima pass on this banner. (Also trying to save up for cyl after the goat debacle)

Hey guys! Been a long time but happy to see this thread is still going strong. I don't play Subeta anymore - life just nibbled away at my enthusiasm - but was just clearing my notifications and got sucked in haha. Still keeping up with FEH and doesn't feel like I have too much to report.

AR absolutely sucks at the moment. I bounce between VOH (Light) and not VOH (Astra, obviously); have always been too lazy to do anything other than omnitanks but this year has absolutely battered that strategy hahaha. I moved from W!Cecilia in Astra over to B!Hector - she just cannot keep up and I picked up a +4 B!Hector through random pulls over the years - then managed to +10 him on his latest rerun. He does pretty damn good but some of the magical threats and insane mobility still get past me; I don't want to sacrifice my only Henriette for Save fodder as she's awesome too. Usually partner with Flayn - and Lynja if I have the bonus mythic.

Light is traumatic every week. I'm still trying to rely on B!Ike + B!Lucina but hoooo boy the red threats shred him all the time. Lilina, Lif and Sigurd all dunk on him all the time, plus the Pathfinder shenanigans which make it such a chore. :') I have started using Henriette to soak magical threats here - as of this week - and she's had a good start but I still come out of matches battered and bruised.

My Light mythic line-up is significantly weaker, too, as I'm missing Freyja and Mila and won't pull for Ullr as I'm trying to be good. I had to blow my previous 500 orb stash on Plumeria (I hate legendary banners, every time, and she had evaded me up until this point) and B!Hector merges so have skipped all recent banners, bar Nott, and continue to build that stash. I'm not super fussed about CYL this year but will definitely go for the spark; I have all the Brave heroes to date so it feels like a nice little tradition. But I'm still feeling burnt by going to 6.25% on the Dark Desert Rituals banner and getting broken by an Altena. Legit the worst luck I have ever had in the game. It took me like 150 orbs to find a 4* Raphael and then I got sunk cost'd. :') Summoning still feels traumatic.

Arena is same old same old; I've recently revamped my team a little to include Aversa, as I pulled a spare V!Palla while going for Nott, alongside NY!Keaton and B!Lucina. I usually bounce between tier 19 - 20 but did had a couple of crowns on Sothe's bonus weeks which was cool.

And the one thing I do want is Ignatz. Give it up for our nerdy boy and underrated icon. I think the next 3H will probably be Ashen Wolves so I think he'll sneak in as a seasonal.

- Brave Hector with his new refine is SO good! (Very thankfully my arena Nino can still usually one shot him if she has all her proper buffs) I've pretty much given up trying to be good at AR. Got schooled 3 times today by dancers + Leg Claude. I'm over it. My light team usually does better than my astra team, mostly cus my Summer Ylgr is a boss, no one on my astra team quite compares. I should probably get some newer units on my teams, I'm still mostly rocking my gen 1 merge units for pretty much every mode. Only have a few newer units I've been interested in, and they seem to evade me when summoning.

I feel your pain re: summoning. I spent my 450 orb stash on the latest summer banner trying to get either of the goaties, only to end up with a Brave Alm OTL He sucks for fodder. Then I had to spark for Nifl cus I only got a few blue summons from that banner. I'm trying to save up for the CYL. I also have all the brave units to date, and kinda want to keep the tradition going. Completely uninterested in Marianne though, but I'd like Eirika and Marth, and gatekeeper if it's possible. But my orb stash is sad atm :(

congrats on your crown!! I just build units I like from games I played or that I've grown to like through playing feh. I find that if I build units that are just good for the feh game, I will get bored of them and that's no good. welcome back! sounds like good strategy! I don't care about tiers in arena or ar. I'm happy in my tier 17 niche of do not care lol. :'D wow, that sucks with summoning, I would be upset too. D:

I can't believe Ashe and Caspar both made it through the first round of the VG! On the one hand, I'm glad I'm guaranteed to have a bonus unit for the final, on the other hand, I don't want Caspar and Ashe to have to fight each other! Best Bros Forever! My first play through of 3H I got Caspar/Ashe ending, which was delightful and unexpected. I dunno what dictates which ending for each character you get, they both had other full supports that they acquired earlier in the game. My Lorenz ended up with Catherine, and I was not ok with that OTL.

Well, I summoned my whole first circle for the Pirates banner, got Hinokamilla, she was the one I wanted least but I'll take it (Camilla just likes me I guess, I'm only missing one of her alts, she just really wants to smother me with her tits). I don't want to spend any more orbs on this banner. Finally made it back to 300 orbs. Need to make sure I can spark on CYL!

Not a fan of the pirates banner which is good because orbs are safe. If it were a picnic banner ... oh dear. :x

- Haven't encountered any Fallen Edelgards with her yet, but we'll see for next arena season. Unfortunately, she's -att :( So not sure she can quite make the kill. I kinda want a Pirate Neasala to hang out with my Pirate Tibarn, but I don't really need him as a unit. I like Vika too, the art in her face is kinda blah though, so I probably won't pull more.

Lifis' base stats are like 10 higher than my Summer Ylgr OTL Is it just me, or is the power creep worse this year in particular? Like, last year it was like 1-2 stats more than launch units, and then maybe like 5 more for primo units, but now it's seems everyone gets 10-12 more BST than launch units, and primo ones have like 20-30 more! Even with flowers and resplendent buffs the gen 1 units can't keep up with that! I put Level 8 Lifis into my Rival Domain team today without noticing (I just made a team with my lowest SP units cus we have a x5 bonus right now) and he actually tanked and killed some of the level 30 and 35 opponents!

aw D: maybe you trait fruit to change her iv if you want to? Yeah, Vika's art is weakest in the bunch imo and that includes duo unit :0 usually I'm not a fan of duo art because it's two characters crammed into one space but Vika is worse

oh man :'D that sucks! the power creep is definitely worse, I thought it was only me being away for a few months and coming back but it's actually really noticeable even for when I play the game regularly now T_T

I think older units need prfs and better ones at that D: like look at my OG Olivia, sure she has alts I could save for, but her OG form only has a silver sword and no prf, like I need to feed 5 star sword units to her for her to get better swords

I really need to focus on building something other than infantry, I'm staring at my 3,000+ dragonflowers for other colors and thinking ... yep, should use them at some point

Well I am out of the field and so can kind of properly catch up a bit now...

welcome back and I hear you on Aether raids. I was yoyo-ing between VOH first for Astra and then Light, and it was horrendous. I got kicked out a couple of weeks ago and then missed Tier 27 the following week so I'm starting from T21 again - feels much nicer to play but I still get my butt kicked. LSigurd and Nott were mistakes. My Astra team is a shambles and missing a good anchor/carry but Light carries are OG Chrom and Cecelia - they handle so many threats very well. Arena has been difficult for me too; usually I move between T19-20 but over the last view weeks it's been T18-19 :/ Need to change up my teams and skills I think.

- I saw Ullr and thought of you! I was lucky enough to pull her in not too many orbs and she is a great unit in Arena and also in AR. Her art is incredible; I have to admit I've hit a wall with my FE4 playthrough so hopefully an 'echos' will be announced soon which will update it a bit.

My luck slump continued :/ I had fairly decent luck on the Ullr banner but other than that everything's been a bit rubbish really. I did some things I really should have done trying to get Pirate Hinoka but it took the best part of 200 orbs to get her, with pity break Catherine and MKris on the way. Hero fests are a lie, I got actually nothing from the tickets and the few orbs I spent (unless you count OG Jaffar). My pity rate on Hero Fest is currently 6.25% for the focuses and 3.75% for off focus which feels stupid. I have about 30 orbs at the moment and no desire to try and clear some of my unfinished content to farm orbs for CYL. What's the point if I get nothing on the way to the spark? (which is what has happened the last two times now)

Between the utterly awful luck I've had one banners with characters that are important to me and the power creep I'm feeling very tired and disheartened. I am plotting on who to give spurn and the joint drive atk from Kris too; maybe SNorne. A blue NHana would be nice, and I don't have to rely on pulling to make it happen. Her art is cute too. Catherine was new but I'm so annoyed she showed up that I'm wondering if I should give feed her to one of my favs once I've got her dragon flowers.

- That sucks. I didn't even try on the Ullr banner, I was only missing one from each colour, and she colour shared with Dimitri, so guaranteed to not get her. I got two 4s specials on the hero fest one, but nothing else. I rather lucked out on Hinoka, I just summoned my first full circle. I was going to just summon clourless and red, and then there was one green left, so I summoned it cus it was only 3 orbs, and I still need more Lex. She was the one I wanted least, and I wasn't going to summon more after that. Desire filter man, OTL. lol. Up to 320 orbs for CYL, so hopefully I can get most of them!

- Probably won't bother. I rarely use one-off seasonals that are basically impossible to build. But I do like her art, surprisingly, the pirate theme actually suits them both pretty well. Even their damaged art isn't overly fanservicey like I've come to expect from any Camilla alt.

Near the beginning of this month, I decided to grab one of the Young Caeda packs after summoning Summer Freyr near the end of the Summer’s Dream banner since it took more orbs than I initially expected to get him and I still wanted to have enough for my promised Brave Gatekeeper spark. I had Summer Freyja, so I wanted the goat fairy siblings to be reunited. 😊

After a few more days, I had more orbs than I expected to get because of the Tempest Trials+, special maps, and log-in bonuses, so I decided to finally nab my first ever non-TT+ 5 ⭐ pirate. I think I fooled the desire sensor in the Perilous Seas banner. I pulled on greens and blues. In 67 orbs, I managed to get a regular Hinoka merge, a Deirdre merge, my first non-manual of Adrift Male Corrin, and a Pirate Surtr (+Def/-Speed)! As awesome as the Hinoka and Camilla duo look, I actually wanted Pirate Surtr the most, so this is perfect! I gave him Distant Counter from the Young Caeda, Aether, Swap, and the Steady Breath seal and he’s been going to town on the Lunatic 7 difficulty of the TT+. You can say the Young Caeda pack was more effectively a Pirate Surtr pack! 🤣 I love his special art with the angry lava shark! 🔥 🦈 🔥

I don’t have anymore need to summon until the Choose Your Legends banner, especially because of the Merlinus manual from the Divine Codes Ephemera 8, which finally officially makes mine +10! :D I currently have 203 orbs, so I am definitely prepared.

Sent Kempf and Narcian togather for my first Heroes Journey pair. I'm sure the outcomes of the events are probably randomized but it seems Kempf is the more serious of the two.

Kempf sends Narcian to get supplys, Narcian brings back spoiled food. Kempf dodges a trap, Narcian not so much.

- congrats! Surtur's art is great. I dont really use my armour units though, so as much as I like him, I'm not pulling for him. I need to save my orbs. Only armour I use is my fallen edelgard, she also goes to town wrecking tt on lunatic. I'm a bit tempted by the caeda pack, for caeda. Lol. I have a few DC fodder units sitting around, but I cant decide who to give them too.

What?! There's a rain scene thing? I keep getting the dungeon / going shopping ones. xD Decided to send out Male Fallen Corrin with Olivia, both awkward separately, so they can be awkward together. ;3; Corrin left Olivia when they went shopping, it was heart-breaking .. until he returned with some goods. xD

The only rain scene I got was the two storytelling for hours. Given it's Kempf and Narcian ( who are actually under the same FE villian archtype) i'm sure the "storytelling' consisted of them boasting and going over the top about their exploits and battles.

Most of the time it was the dungeon, in a comical way, after Narcian took a hit, the second time Kempf deflected everything as if saying " Here, THIS is how it's done", then the third scene, Narcian failed....again and I guess the 4th Kempf himself didn't pay attention and took the toy arrow to the face XD.

Narcian's chibi sprite actually looked like it was taunting Kempf afterwards.
