I know I complain about this too much but I'll say it again: the ratio of cash items on that site is way too high and the value you get for your money when you buy genes is horrendous. I am generally pretty happy to throw money at games and things I enjoy but even I can hardly justify it there. UMAs, on the other hand, seem quite reasonable and I'll occasionally buy gems to spend on those, but the idea of spending upwards of $30 to gene up one dragon (or even $50 if I want a certain breed) is outrageous, and it's not even unique art, just assembled from off-the-shelf stuff. Like, seriously. I'd rather just go commission an artist for cool custom art of a dragon. /rant (sorry)

I totally second your rant, it's hilarious. I bought the pair Stained and only added Pharao on both and Bee on one. Was expensive enough, though, yet there was not one Pharao-Stained around the last days but a green one.

Gems were admittedly a little easier to come by in my early days there too, since I was getting lots of gilded chests from bonding with familiars. But I'm almost done bonding with all of mine so they are just trickling in now, and I have 970 fams so there won't be many more opportunities for chests. Gotta really conserve the gems I get now.

I 100% agree! It’s madness! I remember when I first joined seeing how few gems you got when purchasing and I was like what in the….. Either you should get more gems when buying or they lower the gene prices because it’s outrageous! I refuse to spend that kind of money on a single dragon. I have hundreds of dragons! I can’t afford that. No, I will be taking the long route and saving up treasure for those expensive genes instead, there’s usually someone selling them on the AH for treasure and I would much rather do it that way lol.
