Whilst walking along a forest trail, you come to a fork where the trail splits, leading to three separate bowers. With branches woven and braided in magnificent arcs and arches, they’re each so inviting that you find yourself compelled to take a closer look. Peering through the first, you can spy a curious ring of mushrooms. Through the second, you hear a dulcet chorus of birdsong. And from the third wafts the pleasant scent of a coming rainstorm.

Cautiously I make my way through the leaves and twigs as I try to not scratch myself. Slowly the tranquil bower opens up to me revealing an eerie meadow surrounded by stale tree stumps and thorny bushes. A sudden humid breeze leaves me surprised when I decide to sit myself right in the middle of the the ring of mushrooms to catch a breath.
