I've missed so much. We've been gone nearly 3 weeks because my father in law passed away. Drove straight through to MI and just got home last night.. it was a lot to take in being as it was so sudden and unexpected. Hubby is doing ok, processing it & working through his grief. We invited his mom to come stay with us for a bit so she's not smacked in the face with her loss 24/7, and at some point she will be taking us up on that offer, but at the moment she has so many things to get in order and taken care of that she can't leave. We had a few discussions about moving from Florida so we can be closer to Ariana as well as family we have in MI - plus have all the seasons back again, I'm beyond over the hot & hotter Florida weather.. it was nice for a minute, but now it's just old and I'd rather be near the mountains. Found a gorgeous property in Colorado, but of course it was on the wrong side of the state, lol, doesn't matter, it's just conversation at this point, but the more I think about it, the more and more I like the idea of leaving South Florida <3

Hope all is well with everyone <3 I lost my streak at the bathhouse - less than 50 days from the achievement I think.. oh well, I'll get there again.. caught a couple items from the free shop that I needed and then grabbed this so even if I get nothing else, I'm good <3

I'm so sorry to hear about your father in law! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
I hope you get home situation figured out quickly and in a way that works well for you. I loved my 2 years in Florida but I don't want to go back.

My father in law had a stroke about 4 weeks ago. His short term memory is almost completely gone, so he moved into assisted living this past Wednesday. We have spent most of our spare time dealing with him and trying to get his house ready to sell.

Oh Wow, Zab, so sorry for your loss :( It's so hard to lose someone, especially when you're so far away. I'm sending lots of hugs your way!

I haven't been around much either. I haven't been very interested in being online. After a year in therapy, my therapist and I decided I was ready to try giving things a try without her for awhile. My last day was in August. I'm a little nervous that I'll start feeling like crap again and get really depressed, but there's more people for me to talk to now, like my sister and my cousin. It's been easier being more open and I'm trying really hard not to regress. I'm not hiding that fact that I'm ace anymore, but I'm not exactly shouting it from the rooftops. I've also discovered I'm pan. Right now, I'm labeling myself as panromantic, but labels aren't really necessary. It changes.

I'm thinking about going back to school. I'm just really tired and bored with my job, and I don't want to work in a lab anymore, let along the rest of my life. I'm toying with the idea of getting a Master's degree. I don't know bout other states, but at least in WI, there are programs to go back to school for education even if you don't have an undergrad education degree. That's one of the options I'm thinking of doing, and becoming a science teacher. I'd hate for my environmental science degree be for nothing. I'm also intersted in politics, and there's a Masters in Enviornmental Policy nearby, so that's another option. It's all up in the air right now.
