I've picked apples before with a garden group... it was a lot of fun. I'm crossing my fingers I won't be stuck with 2 residents that are problematic for me.

Okay the bear is adorable, teacup! Oh yes, I know all about apple picking...and pears...and plums, etc. Being a country girl, I've done things like that all my life. :D

A minibus would been needed... people that signed up aren't willing to commit (I'm the only one that confirmed). There was also a prob getting the info out for people to sign up. It would have been ideal autumn weather. I'm thinking maybe I should go to the garden instead... at least I'd spend some time outdoors :)

Sorry the apple picking didn't work out but yes, you should enjoy the outdoors if possible! It's finally supposed to be cooler tomorrow and lower humidity and I plan to get in the yard some. Of course the grass needs cutting, but just to be outside, especially if there's any breeze at all is great. I so love fall!! I'll take our one day of it for this month lol.

Interesting hair coupon. I've accepted to no longer have a 10x20 lot. I'm going to have a raised bed next year. The harvest isn't going well this year... I had some white tomatoes but they winded up rotting and an animal chewed one before I could taste one. There are a few things still slowly growing... I'm hoping my butternut squash is a sucess. :)

I thought the same thing about the hair. Not really me lol. And yum!! I love butternut squash. You can use it like sweet potato or pumpkin with spices in a casserole and very few people know the different. At least that's how I fix it :D I've done the same with carrots and people thought it was sweet potato casserole at a Thanksgiving event.

cooked in the presto or instant pot, then mashed with butter, salt, pepper, and nutmeg with a bechamel sauce on top then broiled in the oven... that's one delicious butternut squash ;)

My white cucumbers were a success. I got one miniature (a little bigger than a tennis ball) cantaloup. My garlic was a sucess... I had one (yes 1) blueberry out of 3 bushes. It's been a challenging gardening year. It'll be easier to upkeep a raised bed and less of a struggle with the weeds.

That sound wonderful!! :D And I have to chuckle at the 1 blueberry. It reminds me of my mom's 'luck' with her blueberry bushes when she still had them. She got a handful one year (after nothing for several) and was ecstatic lol

They've been quite rare those lizards. For the blueberries, the prob was I protected them too well against the cold whereby they were flowering in early May... whereby most pollinators weren't out yet. A friend of mine is going to give the bushes to her daughter since I won't be able to have the bushes in the raised beds. One blueberry is better than none ^^
