My mental health has been a big fat 0 for the past several months but I'm trying to pick up some steam and look forward to survival. It's only about 2 weeks away and getting to participate in the NVLB biting always cheers me up. I can't wait to wear the CWs <3 I need to think about what strains I'm getting, I wonder if we'll be able to get a lot of skins again this year or if it was just special for last year.

I still need Barnankles, Bright Bite, Bubble Jelly, Buzzkill, Cryomorph, Death Roe, Death Slug, Death Worms, Hive Mind, Lobotomeat, Lotus, Love Sucks, Muerte Fuerte, Naked Mole Wrath, Queasea, Sticky, Stinging, The Baker.

I've checked over the number of members for these groups now. Since I prioritize rarer strains it looks like I'll be trying for Death Worms (40), Muerte Fuerte (44), Naked Mole Wrath (48), and Barnankles (50).

Can't wait to survival. Hope it don't start mid-weeks because I'm not at home for a few days. My strategy for years now is always take the oldest strains first. I'm complete till 2015, fot 2016 I only still need Doom Bloom. And I don't have the vial strains from 2014 because they are shorter and I think I have them all in my vault. So they are the last thing to get when I think I don't get infected in time before survival ends :P

I can bite for three of those, assuming work isn't completely bonkers at the point. I'm ridiculously busy for a "slow" period.

Hello, that seems to be a lot of people's strategy. To just get the oldest ones first and complete it year by year. I'm very active during survival and can provide a lot of bites, so I made sure to get the rarest strains possible because I know I'll be available to help those rare requests. :D

Aw. For once I just hope survival goes smoothly. But my spirit for that is so crushed. It really is always something. Having infections erased by hexes, bite button being broken, finishing a new skin only for it to disappear and not unlock... 🙄 Spin the wheel, what will it be this year?

I know people like surprises but there's always a problem with the new strains, so it's kind of scary to go for them. :c I'm especially nervous about the snowballs still being active this year, not going to lie.

it's tough, because I've had bad experiences either way. In the past, I've fought lag and other people needing bites so I can get infected with an old strain ASAP when the event starts, only for the hex erasing glitch to take it away within the hour.

Then last year I decided to skip that stress and instant-infect with one of the new strains. ...Only for it to be taken away days later on completion because the unlock was glitched. And I had to waste my 'free' skin getting back the one I had taken away. I'm seriously considering doing a vial first thing instead this time...

I might do the same. Last year, I decided to delay getting myself infected to try and get other infects first, only for the wardrobe to stop working and I couldn't change out of my skin to get infected with something. I lost a whole day.

Luckily, Survival usually turns out well enough after the new infections are actually added to the wardrobe but the first wave is quite brutal.

My strategy started because I was afraid they will retire some older ones some day. And the last few years with the problems with the new strains when it starts is not convincing me to change that strategy :p I'm also more active with helping to bite people. Monday till Friday I'm always online an hour and half in the morning and longer in the evening. But I'm always a bit behind the most because I'm in the Netherlands ;)

I did a vial at the beginning of every year until I ran out of vial strains. No waiting, no pinging, no new-strain glitches, no nothing! Plus, since they're six-stage it puts you like a whole day and a half ahead of the waves every time you come back for another one, which may not seem like much but I really missed it when I was back in the wave queues. XD

So we need a new year with new vails to help you again for a few years :P

I'm hoping we get Survival sometime this week, as I've got time off work so can help out more. But I betcha it's the week after when I can't get any time off OTL Looking forward to biting and getting a few more skins crossed off the list.

I usually go for one of the new strains first because I like the surprise, and I have been super lucky to not get caught out by any of the glitches (possibly because I'm normally several hours behind everyone else as it has a tendency to start whilst I'm asleep). I might do differently this year though because my luck can't hold out forever.....

Escargloom looks pretty difficult to use, so I imagine that's why it's probably the rare one for 2022.

It does look hard to use but it's growing on me. It's like a novelty toy, entertaining for a moment but overall useless. I think the art itself is nicely done though, lots of detail in the shading which looks smooth and pleasant.

It's a bit like as a novelty. It's funny, but I never see anyone wearing this except for when it first came out.

I actually like it the best out of the new ones and if I am going to pick up a new one, it would be Escargloom. I just don't know how I could use it, but I guess I don't use a lot of my zombie skins.

I don't use my zombie skins either, I completely forget about the skins tab until its time to collect more ._.

Sometime I should make a challenge to myself to make a nice outfit for every skin I own, zapper included. Then I could have them handy and ready to wear just to get some use out of them.

Best do that before the enforce the outfit limit. :P

Escargloom was my first pick from the 22s XD

now that i've cooled on my dislike for Escargloom (i really wanted a slug monster ngl u_u) i think its a skin that'll look really good with a lot of the natural fore/background items (stuff like and ) and various animals i made one as an experiment, trying to see what i could do. it requires some, uh, not being married to the avatar silhouette lol, but i think this looks pretty decent! by Ossuary
