The Arctic Frost Gift Center has been temporarily taken offline due to a glitch where sending a gift would eat the items if the giftbox message contained certain emojis. The glitch did not affect all emojis - only a subset of newer, less common ones. Thus, most users were not affected by this glitch.
Our first priority is to fix the glitch and get the Gift Center back up - with full emoji support! - over the weekend. We will then work to restore any items that were lost to those affected by the glitch. We do have a plan for that, and a Plan B if the first plan doesn't work. There is no need to file a ticket at this time if you were affected.
We'll ping again once we've got another update on this issue.

I'm sorry guys, I know it's a bummer but you'll have to skip those Major Drills quests for now. Major Drills code is very complex to sift through and I just don't have time. I have to prioritize fixing this glitch and make sure all the missing items are correctly returned. These fixes have a risk of data loss if done incorrectly, so I want to focus on doing it right. (I'll also be making explicit backups of everything first, of course.)
The Gift Center's "down for maintenance" message currently includes a link to highlighted admin posts for more information, so people should be able to find this post there (it's currently at the top of that page.) When I can get to my laptop again, I'll update it with a direct link to this post and a suggestion to use the trade center in the meantime. Thanks for the feedback :)

Hey everyone! The gift center is now fixed and reopen for all your gifting needs. :)
Next, we will work on restoring any items that were lost. Again, only a small fraction of users were affected by this glitch and will need reimbursement, and there is no need to file a ticket if you suspect you were in that group. Luckily, our server logs managed to log exactly what items got eaten and from whom , so I feel confident we'll be able to restore everything smoothly.
I'll also be coordinating with the UA department on how best to do these reimbursements, and has weekends off so we'll get the ball rolling for that on Monday. This process may take a few days after that, though we'll of course be working to restore everything as soon as we can.
Thank you for your understanding, and apologies for any inconvenience caused by that brief downtime. I'll post again once we have another update. <3
