I also have not received a single mystery dance but gave them out all day yesterday, saw a lot of repeat partners (That I know other users are also getting the same partners) and know users that have received plenty of the special mystery dance alerts. At first I thought I just wasn't lucky but it is definitely more and more apparent that only some users are being given the mystery dances.

Add me to the list of not getting the mystery dancers and seeing repeat users when I use it.

Same here - been giving out several Mystery Dances but as of yet, have not received any notification that I got one in return. At this point, I should have gotten at least one notice..

Same goes for me! I first thought that it was a general problem but I just noticed a thread in which people posted their Mystery Dance notifications, I've received none of those so far! If it can't get fixed it's really no biggie, I'm content with this feature in any case.

And me. I've been giving out mystery dances since masq started up this year and not had a single one back; it's been connecting me to dance with the same small group of people over and over again too.

No please don't take it down! We are still getting prizes just for selecting mystery dances. I like having the option of getting random prizes other than just trinkets, even if it means some people getting more stuff. No big deal!

Personally, I’d rather continue mystery dancing and getting half of the rewards than not being able to mystery dance at all, if the mechanic can’t be fixed. I know it’s not “fair” but I prefer the ease of mystery dancing than trying to fight the forums right now. I play on my cell phone during the day because of work, and mystery dancing is just easier for me than “claim and dance.”

Ditto! This Mystery Dance feature is amazing, buggy or not, and we still gain something either way.

The prizes for mystery dancing are great but it's unbalancing the game that a small amount of site users are getting a massively disproportionate amount of winnings as everyone is dancing with them.

Shutting down mystery dances till the bug is fixed is the fairest option for everyone.

I think in terms of fairness, yes. But my personal preference is no - like many other users here, I enjoy the extra feature. Perhaps we could just limit the prizes to those use the mystery dance link, rather than to both the sender and recipient.

Is it possible that the queue/list/whatever is just frozen form last year and isn't being updated by people dancing this year?

Or maybe the queue is just so full from last year that it will just take a while for new people to be cycled in? In which case, if you just flushed that old queue maybe it would speed up being able to cycle through new people?

Yeah that sounds like a good idea! If even that is too complicated to do now, I'm still fine with it being unbalanced and leaving that option available

I think limiting to prizes to just the sender works for now. We are still award for our effort and it's not unfair to everyone else. Most of us aren't on the receiving end so it doesn't change anything for most users.
