Prize To Win: or The winner is I love how you captured the essence of vanitas. It felt as though I was looking at a 17th century painting. Your use of symbolism was spot on. It was the seashell which clinched it. Please comment me with your prize choice.

I actually don't really count Hp as fairy tale sorry
only fairytales that are widely known? Or can I do one from Hans Christian Andersen?
Or a not so popular one from the Grim brothers?
so then, going with the wicked stepmother in snow white (and NOT the Disney version) Outfit Not Found
and adding "Däumelinchen" - which would sort of translate as "Thumbelina" - from Hans Christian Andersen out of competition. This fairy tale is about a very small girl (only as big as a thumb) who gets raised by mice and he fat toad falls in love with and wants to marry her. So she runs away - get pulle in a walnut boat by dragonlies until she finds a human mother who loves her neverthe less.

Actually I love Hans Christian Andersen - even though his fairy tales often end tragic XD like the little mermaid - who has to die, since she can not get the prince to marry her. So she is transformed into foam on top of the waves...
as kid I was always sad - because so many of his fairy tales end tragic. The little girl with the matches dies - on new years eve....
