I'm current on the entire series, my first accidental episode was Scanlan trying to shove cooking spices up his ass. My first live episode after binging from the beginning was Vorugal. My favorite is probably C1 for the nostalgia of it being my intro to them as a D&D group. My fave player characters are Vex, Scanlan, Grog, Jester, Caleb, Cad, okay to be honest I like all of the PC's in C2. They're better fleshed out and somehow even more nuanced than C1.

Hello, yes! I love Critical Role! I'm also current... Well OK I may have fallen asleep 1/2 way through the most recent episode. Not because I was bored, I just had work in the morning. My fave PCs from C1 are Scanlan and Grog and from C2 I think I'm in love with Jester and Yasha. But honestly I love them all. They are just such wholesome friends it's awesome to watch in game and out.

Have you watched any of the one-shots? My absolute fave was the Christmas one from a few years ago.

Hi! Fellow critter here :D I started with the podcasts for C1 and it's been fun listening to them play. My husband and I have been watching C2, so we go back and forth. I don't really have any favorites, but Scanlan made me want to play a bard in one of the campaigns I played awhile back and it was fun. I have almost all of the funko pops except three of them, so now I have to find them.

Oooo you're in for a ride! I fell asleep too, but it's because my sleep schedule is trash, and woke up for the last 10 minutes OTL I usually stay up and fall asleep to the rebroadcast. I'm a subscriber so I just started from the last part I remembered so I don't have to avoid twitter spoilers XD They truly are a joy to watch, and I feel like it's their wholesome friend dynamic that makes the whole thing work. Both in and out of character! I've watched all of the oneshots! Well, I missed the last half of the one Tal ran that was Chtulu-ish? The vampire one he ran was WILD. I think my favorite was Liam's werewolf oneshot, The Song of the Lorelei, cause I looove the name, and the setting and lore was so interesting to experience :D And we had some new faces too! Beep beep :D Oh, you're in that SWEET SPOT! And you're coming upon the best part of the conclave arc (imho!) soon too! I can feel that, it changed my life to be honest! Thursdays are my favorite day of the week and I even named my chow chow Trinket because it's a genius pet name. I knew a little bit about d&d before but it was CR that made me want to play. I live in a small town, so it's nearly impossible to find locals. They really have something special that makes everyone want to have as much fun as them!

Hullo! I've never met someone who joined in by watching the podcast. The first episodes had pretty bad audio so I'm glad you stuck it out! (Although a lot of people recommend skipping the first 20 eps, Pike is in those and I could never T^T) You're still listening to C1 and watching C2? I'll make sure not to post spoilers for C1 then O_O That would have been bad on my part. Bards are so underrated, but Sam is a really a force to be reckoned with. The cast agreed that they're too intimidated to ever play a bard because of him OTL I'm sending you good vibes to get the rest! Critical role has helped me a lot and have made so many friends through a local critter discord I joined. I've been watching since 2018 like a month after the second campaign started. While the Adventure Zone was my first ttrpg podcast/vodcast, critical role has been my gateway to others like Dimension 20 and Not Another Dnd Podcast.

I personally prefer campaign 2. I started watching the first campaign and had a hard time getting into it. Plus I know a lot of spoilers for the first campaign so it kinda ruins a lot of suspense.

It is life changing, that's for sure! Playing IRL is also tons of fun, but it can be hard to find a dedicated team. Though when you do, hilarity ensues. There are many online campaigns run using a website called Roll20 and discord, I bet you could find one to join! Character building is complicated but there are pre-made sheets you can use to get started. Would recommend 10/10 :D

OOO I'm almost finished with the werewolf one-shot! Love when they integrate new players. Wish it were a longer campaign, the setting could turn out a lot of fun adventures. I have a vague memory of the vampire one, but I think I watched that one during C1, my memory is hazy X3

I know the feeling, it took me a while to really get into C2, I think it is because I was so hung up on their old PCs and I missed them so much. But Now that I'm all caught up I really do love how C2 has come together.

Anyone get in on the Fjord or Beau figures? I was very tempted to buy one, but I decided to wait for Jester or Yasha. Honestly if I had the money I would be after all of them, they look so amazing!

I'm not super into figure collecting but I am very interested in a Jester one. Though I hope it's later in the future because I'm not employed.

Even the podcast audio wasn't that good in the beginning and I didn't start watching the youtube videos until the middle of the dragon arc. I'm on episode 103 and I've already spoiled enough of C1 to know what happens after that XD. My husband didn't want to watch any of C1, so we just started watching C2 instead. I'm finishing up C1 on my own. Oh yeah, i remember the Halloween episode where Sam came out as Burt Reynolds haha. For sure, when he turned into a triceratops was one of my favorites. I haven't laughed so much or cried so much until I started C1.

as much as i would love to listen to a podcast because i think it would be so much easier to have on in the background, i love watching the episodes, even if i'm doing something else at the same time (although usually i just end up watching it heh). seeing their interactions and reactions is more than half the fun for me. there's just something about it that makes you feel like you're a part of the group, and i love it when the cast just watches Matt, enthralled at him acting out/voicing some of the npcs. (my favourite so far is the black powder guy in Vasselheim XD)

yeah i live pretty rurally too, and only know of one family who play together who even know of d&d in my nearest local town lol (that i'm aware of!)! and i'm too shy to ask if i can join in their game XD (plus i only know them kinda because they're clients at work, and i'll be soon leaving that job so i won't even get to keep chatting with them about CritRole anymore either ;-; )

oh ya ya i wanna join Roll20 fo sure! i have put off signing up so far because i've been trying to think of a cool UN that is a bit more current 'me' than my typical online moniker i've used all these years...but i can't decide on something...typical... i've already started a nice dice collection tho :D (that may become a problem lol)

Oh wow, you're lucky to have a local community to turn to! I tried to get friends into it but the only thing that came of it was I took one person's suggestion to listen to The Adventure Zone podcast. I started out watching the RollPlay community, before anything though :D Awww, I'm so sorry you were spoiled :( That would take away the fun of surprises. At least you have C2 to enjoy!

It's so good, right? And covid has really made me appreciate the joy of them having guests on. The vampire one was right after C1 ended, Matt and Marisha only played the first half cause they had wedding plans to finish :P There've been so many one-shots, I can only remember a few certain details for each one or my brain would explode @ The figures did look amazing, but they're so expensive and I hardly have the space to display them. (Maybe after I finish putting my new bookshelf together and rearrange my room OTL.) If I could pick though, I'd go for the Jester one as well! Maybe Caleb and Cad too. For Nott, I wonder which form they will go with..... goblin or halfling, hmmm.

YES, VIKTOR! You're still in for many treats then :P Definitely love Matt's NPC's. Gilmore and Allura are irreplaceable to me, but Viktor is by far his funniest between both campaigns! Ugh, rural-stuck critters unite T^T My younger cousin knows about it and has played before, and I have a friend from high school who plays and dms but she lives a whole state away! So I can feel you on that, it's hard. Oh that's awful, and you can't even ask for like, personal details cause they're clients OTL Maybe there will be new people at you next job who know about it? Or maybe you an introduce some new co-workers/clients to CR :D

It's like for C2, I follow them all on twitter and also follow the critical role hashtag, so I know what will happen ahead of time, but I don't know what exactly lead up to that moment. So somewhat spoilers then haha. No worries there, I've been emotional enough with C1 and this last part with Vax Ep 104...my heart. I don't want to say a lot since I'm sure some haven't gotten to that part of C1 yet.

I'm on episode 119 so I'm not quiiiite caught up but this show is hurting my feelings again /cry I have resigned to suffering. I shall embrace it.

I haven't seen last night's episode but I'm caught up to then. I've been doing a lot of crying. And quietly screaming to myself. It's been a very stressful arc.

Matt hit us with that BIG SURPRISE. Tonight should be back to normal for the most part. At least there haven't been any hints or ripples about another long one. Omg, Sam's giving me life with his troll-ass shirts! And I can't with his MUSTACHE, so creepy! Also, his it at the beginning was chef's kiss for the first half of the episode :P ALSO, can I ask where you had your art made??

Oh good! Well it's definitely an episode that I gave my entire attention to, practically pulling my hair out from the stress! This whole arc is pure genius from Matt. Idk if you check reddit but there's at least one amazing theory I can get behind. I can't wait to see what the truth is, what Matt has devised for them this campaign!
