I support this. I came to the pets forum to suggest it and saw your post.

I support an alternative to Hydrus, a more oceanic/beach theme, rather than a recoloring of them.

I would love this. Hydrus is great but there's more that can be done with ocean outside of the brown color scheme.

i've been ACHING for an alternative to Hydrus... I have pets that definitely need to be water themed, but not the aggressive tide vibes that make the Hydrus pets (and it makes them really cool, ofc). i thought about rolling with it anyway.. slapping an overlay and just ignore it.. but it don't feel right, aha.

to prevent adding to the pool of cool color palettes we already have, i would use a scheme similar to these MC summer items... using the hues of a fun, summer sunset ocean. with more contrasting colors, there's a good way of making the scheme standout, like Rift and Vivid does.

i'm also all for a more soft scheme like proposed by OP. I'm pretty shocked that Angel still is the only pastel special color we got going (actually, Glacier counts too). to make it stand apart from Angel colors, which tend to have a white or super baby light body color, we can go with more deep body colors.

I'm also thinking colors like presented in this Wearable. "glass".. "seaglass"... hmmm. the ocean really is vast, so there's a lot of neat ideas there.

I looove Hydrus. But I am also fully in favour for an aqua themed ocean pet colour.
