Hello everyone! I definitely want you guys to have an open discussion about this, but I did want to stop in and give a few comments here and there :)

I&;ll stick to but I&;m really hoping to be able to do a lot more unlimited/high limit releases if we get a better system in place (and also since it&;s not going to cost me a fortune to get stuff on-site anymore).
Ahh this makes me SO happy to hear, because it's honestly one of my goals - I want people to do more high limited/unlimited releases and help make CWs more available! Even though I get to see nearly every CW that exists, a lot of times by the time I see them in the queue, it is too late for me to get one already. So this comment made me really happy!

To be honest? I have no idea. The CW situation still feels so vague and up in the air I can&;t even begin to guess when exactly things are going to go down.
I'm assuming you have been paying attention to [link=https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/913050/Changes-to-CWs-are-on-their-way]this thread[/link]? I'm sorry if things feel vague and up in the air. I'm doing my best to keep you all as informed as I can without spoiling the entire system before it's ready to be seen. I know the lack of a date is frustrating, but honestly and I are essentially spending every free minute we have working together (seriously, think hours after work at other jobs, weekends, etc).

Honestly, I feel like an airplane trying to land but being told there are no available runways. I&;m frustrated to not have a time table. I have things I would like to release for Lumi, but I want to submit them with the lower prices for other users and the lower prices for me, but I don&;t know if that&;s a realistic option right now. I really don&;t want to pay more than I have to, especially with the COVID financial situation we&;re in. But I also don&;t want to have to sit on these things until next Lumi - That would really suck. I&;m excited about the changes, but I&;m also angry. I feel like I&;m being given breadcrumbs to keep stringing me along.
I'll be honest, this comment makes me really sad. I'm sorry you're angry. I really hate that you think all the information I've been giving is just breadcrumbs to string you along. Trust me, I have no urge to string anyone along. I have always tried to be as honest and open with updates as I can, and it's something I've been working especially hard with since I came back from my year-long break. The custom wearable revamp was not something I was expecting to do when I came back, but I am - and I'm very happy to be a part of it!

It is SO much more than just lowering prices. If that was all we wanted to do, we could have done that ages ago. But we want a fun, new, engaging, and welcoming system. We want it to be better for all users, and that definitely takes time!

Finally, it's important to remember that COVID has affected all of us, including staff! I work in one of the few industries that has actually surged during COVID rather than suffered from it (here is actually a [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/10/upshot/pets-health-boom-coronavirus.html]great NYT article[/link] about it). I'm working nearly 14 hours on some days, and still come home, shower, and log onto Subeta to work with on this as much as we can. Trust me, we would NOT be putting nearly this much time or effort into something we were just planning to string you along with. Trust me, we are tired and worn out and suffering from anxiety and depression and COVID misery like so many other people are right now. But my priority (and lately, Bug's as well!) is still to get a new, amazing system out. Please try to have more faith in us - it really goes a long way for our morale :)

We don&;t know when we&;ll have access to a vaccine, I don&;t know when I&;ll be able to do my job the right way again, I don&;t know when we&;ll be able to visit family, I don&;t know when my husband will find a job, and so on. There are so many unknowns right now

I completely understand this, but this is also what I meant by remembering that all of these things are also affecting the people working on this site. I will not go into anyone's personal lives (including my own beyond what I said above), but these things are affecting all of us right now. However, we are still continuing to work, day after day. I think it's really important to keep this in mind. The world is upside down right now, and it would be perfectly reasonable if members of staff said "You know, I can't work on this right now. I'm too busy/stressed/anxious/sad/worried/angry/frightened due to what's going on in the world." But despite feeling ALL of those things (and more), we are still pushing through all of it, for all of you! This is why it's hurtful to be told we are just stringing you along.

Because there was no point in just changing prices for an extremely outdated system. Nothing with the way CWs work overall has been updated in 9 years. It needed to happen, and it's better to roll out the changes all at once.

We aren't feeling "rushed" to do anything. We're working this hard and this diligently because we want to. We have a whole huge list of things we want to keep implementing as time goes on, so we aren't forcing ourselves to do every little thing right now before launching. But we needed a new, more efficient system to coincide with price changes (because lowering prices with an outdated system really isn't sustainable in the longterm).

Doing things this way has allowed us to concentrate on the entire system, since I'm more "free" to do so without having hundreds of submissions to go through. And people may be most excited about the price changes, but I've seen quite a bit of excitement about other things we're creating as well. I think the majority of users have been happy to wait as long as they see we're making progress.

Thank you for your kind reply! I know it's definitely not what you intended, and like I said, I appreciate the topic and being able to see different ideas and peoples' thoughts!
