- lol nice. yup, words are words. My whole thing for nano is still just an outline/plan. And it's taken me 3 nanowrimos to complete! I didn't do 50k last year, and the first year I was working on it, I interspersed short stories about my subeta chars in there too, but when this plan is all done up, I suspect it'll be able 80k words by itself!

Caught up on my writing goal... massively behind on my drawing goal. Why does drawing give my so much anxiety these days :( I used to be able to just doodle whatever, and now I put a pencil on the paper and nothing happens ;(

I wish I could have participated this time, but I need to really flesh out my world and characters more. I could always write fanfiction, but I'm not sure if it would reach 50k. I haven't finished any fanfics I've started but I have one that's way more concrete (what would roughly happen, chapter by chapter, my world, my explanations, etc.) so that could be an option, this year was just a no go for me anyways. I'm struggling with mental health and I need to clean my room and stuff. There's always the summer stuff, too.

Been very slow this month but over all I'm almost to the 50k mark; may hit it after I copy what I've written in my notebooks down.

- Mental health breaks are super important! Don't feel bad about not participating. I feel you re: never finishing anything you start. lol. I, in fact, this year for nano.... and last year, and the year before, have been writing stuff just to build up the world! OTL (and still not 100% satisfied with how things 'work' but the audience is just going to have to be ok with that, cus I can't quite figure out how to better explain it in a way that still makes sense for my story. lol And this is why my sister is NEVER allowed to beta read my writing ever again, she's like that kid that just asks 'but why' over and over until you break down and have to answer because god said so! and then they still ask 'but why??')

I know I am suuuuuper late here, but I am doing Nano for the very first time and it has been a lot of fun. I am definitely being a rebel and working on whichever project I'm feeling each day (from pet stories to fanfiction to the beginnings of a novel trilogy). Right now I'm a little behind at 44K words, but I'm going to try to finish up by Monday.

I'm at 45k, and basically done everything I wanted to accomplish writing wise, so I might augment by working on my pet stories today instead.

I was 300 words shy of finishing last night, but I forced myself to wait until today. It being my first time and all, I wanted to "do it right". XD

- lol, verifying 50k words and winning early isn't doing it wrong. Although, if you finish a few days early then stop writing, that's kind of not in the spirit of a 30 day writing marathon! Gotta keep writing for all 30 days!

Historically no, I have not, cus I'm a major procrastinator. But this year, I am at least going to edit and splice my outline together so that I can get a few people to beta it. I think for most people, december is editing month. Looking back at what you wrote in a non stop frenzied panic, and fixng all the word vomit and types and bad grammar!

Woot! I did it! with 13 minutes to spare! I guess Nanowrimo is on an honours system now? I didn't have to paste my words anywhere to verify that I actually wrote 50k. So I guess I didn't have to write a 666 word interlude to paste into my doc every time I finished a picture!

Congratulations all my favorite Nanos! For the first time in 14 years I didn't participate and I didn't write. I participated in Inktober 2020 instead and I will never made that mistake again. Not that I didn't enjoy drawing in ink every day for 31 days, but each of my drawings turned out to take 6-8 hours and I was exhausted and my left paw developed stress arthritis and carpel tunnel. I will rejoin you all next year! Again, Great Job and congratulations!

- Oof, yeah, I did inktober a few years ago, only managed to complete about 20 of them. I didnt even do anything too elaborate. Although, I was contemplating doing what you did this year, next year. I managed to get a drawing done for every day of Nano this year, but they were just simple pencils of some of my characters, drawing in ink is intimidating. So permanent!

: I wrote out this little scenario back in April where Little Lady Frieda and her friend Bretton got into a mud fight during a tea party. That evolved into a couple of pencil drawings in May, a complete storyboard in June, and all the preliminary drawings in July-September. Even then, I had to figure out how to turn a pencil drawing into a decent ink drawing on fancy paper without really screwing it up. I think I did OK, but I think I really caused some damage to my paw. Here is one example of my work. This is a 9 X 12 drawing.

Frieda's Father: "Little One! What are you doing to that boy-child there?" Frieda:"Helping him wash away his sins..."[/i] Bretton's Father: "Ain't I been saying it Bret? Yer sins be catching up wit ya!" turns to Frieda: "Ya just keep washing away there little Lady, he needs lots of sins washing away."

- Nice :) Yeah, 9 x 12 is huge, I was working in my postcard sized sketch book and most days only filled half a page.
