I just tested this earlier today because I was really confused about why I wouldn't have run into it during Quest-a-thon.

I get quest points on multiples of 5, so I shouldn't get any points until my 5th quest. The first quests I did today were 4 BB quests. Then I did 1 Wizard quest and got a point I did my last BB quest, and I'm now back to getting quest points every 5th quest

So BB counts towards your 5 quests required for a point, but won't award the point on your 5th

blue building quests can count, though -- you can do five sarah's quests, get the point, and then do four blue building quests and one sarah's quest, and get a second point

so if they behave like you're experiencing (they don't count) AND like how i'm experiencing them (they do count)... i'm completely lost, and the blue building's haunted 👻

Yeah, they've never counted for me. I've tested it and not gotten a QP after 4 blue + 1 regular.

Wiz: 1 Blue: 3 Total: 4

Now - Wiz again: huh now I've gotten 1 QP but I wasn't getting that before ever. And I was definitely still getting 2 QP after finishing Shinwa + Blue + 5 Sarahs (even though Blue was my quest 5 before)

[edit] Now I'm gonna do Wiz x4 then a blue:

Wiz: 4 Blue: 1 (no QP) Wiz: 1 more (total of 5) - No QP

SO - we can now tell staff that everyone is experiencing this issue.

And for confirmation - before I did ANY quests today, I had 0 QP

After doing the first 5 (some of which included Blue), I had 1 After doing 5 more, (4 wiz followed by 1 blue), I still have only 1 And doing a 6th quest (1 more wiz) did not award the missing QP, I still had 1 after doing a 6th quest

I don't know if, in the long run based on how it awards them all, it still works out, but I'm going to wager no. It seems like it's eating a QP (at least one) if you accidentally do Blue as your 5th quest when you've done 4 so far to get a point.

@ jensen I'm pretty sure that is going to affect everyone if we're both experiencing it. I clearly missed out on how it was going and thought I was getting them right when I wasn't. We'd need more widespread testing but I definitely lost a QP to this and have likely lost....a lot over the years since this was all implemented.

Actually, you know what, I think it just is erasing the count of the Blue quests.

I have the bonus quest (leaving me at 1/5 a QP whenever I finish everyone in a day) that I've been carrying over and have now done a total of 9 new Wiz quests and I have gotten my second QP. So if it awards after counting the blue building, it just disregards those quests later and drops your count back if you "turn in" a 5th quest during Blue.

So we're still getting the right number of QP, it's just rewarding it weird as heck.

at this point i don't know what to think... other than maybe natasha should just give out quest points and blue building points to save us all the trouble of figuring out if we have a problem or not :p

Seconding that haha. I know there's no Natasha in the Quest Shops but she's still making me spend dumb amounts to get 20 BB points. It's always a loss for me on here, adding 1 QP a day for her won't exactly make up for it but it would be nice haha.

I started with 437 quest points and 0/5 quests towards a quest point, and then I did: 3 Blue Building Quests 2 Wizard quests - earned a quest point on the second one 2 Blue Building quests 3 Wizard quests - earned a quest point on the third one I now have 439 quest points

So I've done 5 Blue Building and 5 Wizard quests today and earned 2 quest points because I did them in this order

Since I learned about this, I've started doing Sarah's quests each day (as normal), but then as soon as I get a quest point, I go and do 4 blue building quests, and then do 1 of Sarah's to get the quest point. Then I do the remain blue building quest and complete Sarah's and go from there.

Every time I get another bonus wizard quest, the number quest that I get the bonus on moves slightly - that's why I start out with Sarah's first, because I'm never quite sure which quest will give me the bonus until I receive the first one.

And I have definitely been getting the bonus after doing the blue building quests, so they are counting.

This shouldn't be a suggestion. It’s a bug. BB quests count towards the 5 quests required to give you a quest point, but don’t give one out when you hit the threshold. That’s a bug.

I appreciate that this thread was made so users could become aware of this issue. I usually have two quest givers open at a time to speed things up (I live in Australia and have shitty internet compared with most of the rest of the world). This means I have probably lost many, many points over time due to this bug as I may complete the 5th quest on a BB quest multiple times in one day. The workaround is valid and reliable, but I often forget to do it and so miss out on my BB quest point(s). It shouldn't be up to me to remember to do my quests in a particular order to get quest points I earned.

Seconding Skolletta. This isn't a suggestion about how to change the way a feature was ment to be implemented, it was a post to bring it to Staff's attention that a feature is not working the way it should/was ment to. This is a bug. The fact that it was moved to suggestions was, in my opinion, a HUGE oversight.

hiiii i still think this is a bug, but i am stuck in suggestions so here i am expressing support for blue building quests to give out quest points so that they stop eating them, and i can stop thinking about what number quest i'm on before i do them :)

Yeah I think that BB should either give out a quest point (since it counts towards the 5 quests needed for one) OR be changed to not count towards it and thus not give one out. Either option would just make things more convenient and less worrisome.

Honestly I had no idea that it worked this way until the first time I saw this thread last year, and ever since then I've had to be conscious of when I get a quest point, stop what I'm doing, do 4 BB quests, go back to another quester to do 1 quest to get my point, then do the final BB quest before moving on. If it was changed to be less hindering that would be great.

I would love to see maybe a bonus quest like summons if you have the blue building open. Kinda like how the Wizard can ask for your help, maybe Natasha can ask us to help her and we could get 100 extra points?

This is still happening, for anyone who's curious. :( Zoning out while doing BB quests and accidentally did the 5th when I intended to stop at 4, do a normal quest for the QP then go back and do the 5th quest. Still disappointing I can't autopilot through quests while listening to music or I screw this up lol.
