All good this end. Did my Christmas food shop today, that was chaotic at the supermarket. Glad that its done. How about you?

Lmao! I am prepping loads beforehand so its less stressful. We are cooking the meats the day before and prepping most of the veg the night before too

What sort of food do you normally have Christmas day?

I think we are debating a ham or maybe sausages and sides zuccini and squash with bacon and spinish and eggs sounds weird but its good and a desert

We are having Gammon and Roast Turkey, pigs in blankets, yorkshire puddings, sage and onion stuffing, rosemary and garlic roast potatoes, mash potatoes, brussel sprouts with apple and bacon, carrots in a lemon and garlic butter, cauliflower cheese, broccoli and spiced red cabbage

Desserts we have in chocolate orange roulade, cherry bakewell tart and profiteroles

And then probably leftovers for the next week lol

wow that SOUNDS like a meal!! how do you do the brussel sprouts? Ive never done them with apples but it sounds interesting

You boil or steam your sprouts like normal. I oven cook my bacon so its less fatty. Then in a separate pan you fry onions until translucent then add the apple for a few minutes then add in your sprouts with parsley and bacon. Toss it all together and voila!

We are going to lockdown on Boxing day to try and curb Covid. It's going to be for at least 28 days. Ugh!!

We have already pretty much been in lockdown for last month, we are allowed to meet 1 household inside on Christmas day and thats it

I get that, like my husbands mom makes AMAZING cakes like could sell for lots of money and everyone always asks her why don't you do this for a living and then she says well it would be less fun
