I like my pet names overall, but I was finally able to change... :)

lol, I didn't change any pet's name. Nor do I plan to.... although I am really happy for people who were able to change their names to something they enjoy more.

I changed a lot of my pets' names, but wound up changing some of them back yesterday. It's SO NICE to be able to try out different names rather than committing more or less for good. I really like this whole update.

As unhappy as I am that my pets will no longer be completely unique and also that any future pets I adopt, rename, or create will not "be as special" as my other pets this new system has given me an opportunity to fix a problem I had.

Three of my pets names began with periods and now finally I have a solution that will allow them to retain the names they have had for over a decade.

but the legacy of their names continues. Yay! :)

Most were off spellings, but some I redid entirely.

I had a bit of a mixed bag of changes, some were just spelling fixes, or names shortened to what I actually wanted them to be, and some were entirely new which was a lot of fun to play with.

Part of me is sad to see so many legacy names changed, but the majority of me is thrilled seeing so many people getting the names they've always wanted.

Before the change I had literally just messaged someone about a pet name; sounds like they would've given it to me, too, but I no longer needed it.

I obtained a pet born on November 22nd, 2014, my late kitty's birthday, removed the legacy name, and renamed it Mishka. My boy was my therapy kitty and I lost him this May to lymphoma after chemo failed. It means the world to me to be able to have him here. Now I'm trying to find my surviving kitty's birthday as well. His name will be Finn if I can ever find a March 2nd, 2013 birthday.

I also renamed a pet to Theia, one of my main RP characters currently. So far I haven't changed any others, though I do eventually plan on picking up other names of my OCs so I can make fun TCs for them, or perhaps names that I applied to adopt but missed out on adopting.

My current main dilemma is my pet Defender. I'm very proud of him and his legacy name, but his character was originally developed for a name I once tried to adopt... so now im in this weird state of not knowing what to go for. Even if I change it, he'd still keep his legacy name so that helps a lot. Sigh. Fun times in the land of decisions.

So far I've only changed one, Dovahkiin. It was Dovhakiin before - very minor misspelling that's easily overlooked, in fact I didn't notice it when I first adopted him. But once I did notice, I couldn't unsee it :( The rest of my pets' names I'm happy with for now, but I'm glad to have the option to change them later if I want to. In fact I'm thinking about changing Dovahkiin's name yet again to a name made up in the Skyrim dragon language, but haven't decided yet.

Thought I wanted a pet named Winter, so I renamed a pound find to that. Just a few weeks after doing that I realised I had a great idea for a pet named Vanity, and not Winter, so finally was able to rename them again and it gave me a little thrill.

Non-unique names, woohoo.

They're just going to be a pet who is very vain and into lipstick, haha.

I do plan on fixing everyone's name so that they don't have hyphens before and after anymore

just changed the name of my pet 'doona' to 'mellow'

the character that i created doona for originated as a pet named mellow years ago on a petsite named misticpets (where he was also a pink cat type pet)

that site has this year finally become defunct and no longer exists, so i thought that since the original mellow is gone i would bring that name over here

I changed RainbowSprinkle to Sprinkles. Her name was the only one I ever really wanted to change. I had kept it for the longest time because I wrote it into her back story, but it was always too long for my userprofile and this way she keeps the spirit of her name, but much shorter. But then since my rabbit passed earlier this year I am glad I could change the name of my tribute pet for her too, from Buc to Starbuck, her full name.

Rene Black is Nicodemus now. Still not sure about Ireni.
