- I did elaborate for you though - the full denial was "The bow on the item is ok, but the pie has such straight lines and simplistic colouring it doesn't match current Subeta style. It's also only viewed from the top making it look 2D, where we prefer to see a more 3D view!"
I'm sorry if that's not clear enough as to what I'd like changed, it can be hard to critique something in the short time I have to critique things, and we have no sense of each other's tone or anything - I'm much more used to working in real-time back-and-forth where I can quickly clarify.
Changes to an item (especially huge color changes) can completely change how an item looks. Often things will look okay in darker palettes, but when the color is lighter we can notice lack of shading or that the shading isn't quite right. Vice versa can happen as well. Basically, just because you had one color of an item accepted doesn't mean it will be automatically accepted in other recolors. A lot of recolors get denied because it can point out flaws in shading/lineart/texture/etc. I hope this helps :)
ALSO! Sorry for the double posting but I wanted to keep this thought separate. This topic is from when I was off staff for a year, and the denial may have been being used differently! However, I generally use this denial if I see a quality issue. If it's lineart/shading/etc, I'll go through and mark those reasons as well. I really try hard not to just use this denial with no explanation. I always try to make my denials as thorough as possible (even with tenosynovitis!). The main reason I haven't done away with this denial reason is just to mark it as a general catch-all for when the overall quality isn't quite there.
