Seems fine to me. I removed the duplicate box yesterday and it has not returned.

My side bar has been completely gone since yesterday, and still is!

I haven't had any additional widgets pop up since I removed them after you said it was fixed, so it seems to be working for me. c: Thanks!
Next to the clock in the top left corner of the screen, there should be a button that says 'toggle sidebar'. You may have accidentally clicked it and turned your sidebar off.
