I hope the water is gone before Tuesday, I know the swiming part was probably a joke, but don't touch flood water, stay safe
Swimming, yes, but I already had years where I had to put away my shoes and socks and roll up my jeans when leaving the train station because the street through the valley was flooded and there was no other way to reach the opposite side where my practice is. If I had to swim, no, LOL.
Thank you, love. The island wasn't affected so far yet we don't know, the tempests admittedly went far south now, away from it, so there is hope that not another will follow in its wake.

Keeping you and everyone that have been affected by the terrible flooding in my thoughts and prayers!! <3 I sure wish there was a way that some of that rain could be sent over here to California, and, all of the states that are having devastating wildfires once again!!

It would be definitely good if we could do some exchange, yes! <3 Hoping the world-wide wild weather will slow down a bit soon.

yeah why is it that cats are so fussy with their food but they care diddly-squat what they drink?! XD cats. they're weird but what would we do without them eh? i'm sure yours are giving you lots of distractions from what's going on outside!

I hope you are ok <3 thinking of you and yours and your cats <3
Since yesterday evening, they accept a mix out of mineral water and boiled water. Other than that, they can't wait we leave for Sylt, they just love the house and garden there!
Thank you, love! We cared for family and friends in greater need than us and brought packages with clothing and stuff to aid agencies and now only hope that my practice items in the basement are not totally flooded when I arrive there tomorrow. Practice itself is first floor and should be safe yet naturally, we store items below, too.

I hope everything is ok for you <3 so kind of you to help everyone <3
Here at home, all is good, the city is hillside. However, we still have germ-infested water because our water comes a long way.

makes sense :( that's what happened with us during the ice storm
And how long did you have to boil the water then?

It was almost a month I think at least 3 weeks
You are such a kind and selfless person, bringing donations of clothing and other items that people are going to need is a perfect example of your kind <3 Hope everything in the basement is dry, and, there is no damage! Glad to hear that the kittys are adjusting to, and, drinking the water mixture :) Stay safe <3

hey everyone, thanks for all the kind wishes, i have finally found a little time to write the one or other word to this whole situation myself.
our front yard and cellar were ruined by mud and water, but i'm thankful we're all at good health. it's still shocking to see how my entire home town was turned upside down and there was absolutely nothing we could do about it. cut off from electricity and clean water, i realized, that we humans, are but ants. we can pretend we're better than other animals but at the end of the day we're just as helpless. the one thing nice to watch is everyone sticking together, helping each other until better times are back.
sending love. x
Keeping you and yours in my thoughts!! hugs
I hope you have a little bit more peace after all the troubles now! <3

thank you so much, and thanks to you, too, . it‘s getting a little quieter for us, my family and i personally that is, now but things are still rather messy in general. the streets are still wrecked and people are still in shock, some state of panic.
