At home, I am almost lucky, no flood here yet our drinking water is germ-infested because it comes from a water utility more south and we have to cook it before using it for drinking, food preperation or washing. Other friends here in Colovaria are even more involved with flood stuff, they have a lot of dirty water flooding their houses and gardens.
I have a bit of a problem with the kitties, because they don't like boiled water and also not mineral water.....
Also, we were busy packing clothing and stuff packages to send to the more affected areas in the last days, people lost almost all their things, including their houses.
It's a bit of another situation in the city where my practice is, especially in this south area. Luckily, it is a little bit above a hill and so the house itself is not affected yet the path I have to walk is. My next (and last before holidays!) practice day is Tuesday and I hope I don't have to wade or even swim through the dirty water!
It was like this Thursday and Friday there:
The picture below shows a paddleboat rental close to my practice, I have to cross this river to reach it. There is a small island normally yet its totally flooded and the streets you have to cross, too. I hope the water level comes down a bit until Tuesday!
Btw, I am living not far from the Limburg province, close to the border of the Netherlands, only a 30 min drive!

crossing my fingers for you that the levels reduce before Tuesday! we've been having a lot of rain here too lately and all the creeks and rivers are very high. no major flooding as yet, but it's meant to still be raining all this week. i don't think it will get to the levels you have over there though, but we've had bad floods here before D: stay safe! and i'm sure the kitties will get used to the boiled water - when my kitty was still spending some time outdoors (he's indoors full-time now) he would drink from the weirdest places, so i'm sure the taste wasn't putting him off ><

Haha, that's the prob, they would happily drink the germ-infested water!
